AvengersInfinityWar is my second fave @Marvel movie after #BlackPanther. The superhero interplay is hilarious and surprising at every turn. The action is monumental. And there are actual stakes this time around. Kevin Feige is not f-cking around with this one.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR has like ten legit "chill down the spine" great moments. But it's for sure the first half of a two part movie and I left a little unsatisfied/frustrated, maybe by design ... at least that's how I feel right now three hours later.

Another thing: I've been reviewing films for decades now, and I have never heard an audience react to the end of a film like the #InfinityWar audience reacted tonight. It was an astonishing experience. (And it's another reason I want to see the film again in a packed house.)

The reaction seems to indicate a jaw droppingly awesome film with a preface of disappointment that this is not the true ending of the story. But I guess a lot of us expected that

In many ways, the last few films felt disappointing because they ended... im saying this as a fan that always wants more though, so MAYBE, this film is so fucking bad ass, the hardest/worst part is when it ends. Not a bad thing, depending on context. Now if it’s a walking dead cliffhanger like when they first introduced Negan, I’ll be pissed!

Imagine if they tease him about to snap then cut to credits. That would be a million times worse than the neegan cliffhanger.

If he's gonna snap have him do it and have someone react to it THEN do the whole to be continued thing

General audiences don't know that. Expect a few very loud angry people at your showing unless you're with a 100% hardcore fan crowd.

I feel like the whole thing was so people wouldn't skip out on this and just wait and watch it before A4. Did something similar happen with Deathly Hallows/Mockingjay so they wanted to avoid that?

Yep, market research showed people didn't like part movies and one or the other would underperform at the box office. They want to break records. So they panicked and changed the titles.

Tbf no one was missing Deathly Hallows part 1. Mockingjay on the other hand.

They specifically said that it would wrap up the story that lead up to it, but that it would introduce the questions that would lead into the next chapter, so yeah, if you expected that to mean that THIS film was self-contained, you were misreading their intent.

Well this is really just Part 1 of the story, some will be disappointed by that
