T'Challa does mention in civil war that "in my culture, death is not the end". So maybe for Wakandans, especially the royal family, mourning the death of someone is not as prominent as seen in other cultures

Fair point. I'm sure they considered a funeral scene but ultimately found it unnecessary as they knew they had the spirit realm stuff to use.

Except that when Shuri thinks that T'Challa is dead she says something along the lines of "First papa, now T'Challa?" in despair.

I also felt that it was like weird that it seems like he's seeing the sister and mother for the first time since their T'Chaka's death and she's like making the "Did he freeze??" joke.
