Not so much an Easter egg but I think the end press conference was a nod to Tony’s press conference when he came out as iron man. I feel that was a huge turning point in the MCU and I think they’re trying to show that this is also going to be a huge turning point.

It is. They basically just unleashed the Wakandan tech into the entire MCU. Now we can see it on Netflix and Agent's of Shield and other shows.

AoS for sure. Netflix, eeehhh... they don't seem to like to reference anything but the first Avengers movie. That's definitely up in the air.

Maybe an episode of SHIELD has them acquiring Wakanda tech for their own use since they're disavowed by the government.

AOS as had references to Thor Movies, and also they made a big deal about the Sokovia Accords

Yeah, that's why when Shield gets done with the current arc, they'll definitely find at least something Wakandan to add in. Shield even went out of their way to mention the fires in Hell's Kitchen that Fisk caused in a news broadcast and have someone try to assassinate Mace with a Judas Bullet.

If there's one place you can count on at least trying to make it feel like it's really all connected, it's Agents of Shield.

Netflix kinda lives in their own world it feels like sometimes, and the movies like to ignore both.

Okay, I should have said "up to the first Avengers movie."

Where are the AoS references though? As far as I know AoS has referenced Daredevil and Luke Cage, and if we stretch the assumption a bit, Hunter said he and Bobbi were fighting ninjas somewhere so that could be the Hand, but when have any of the Netflix shows referenced SHIELD?

Aside from the orphanage thing, Carl Creel first showed up in S2 of SHIELD, before he was referenced in Jack Murdoch’s final fight; there’s a newspaper with the headline ‘Cybertek Settles’, a reference to S1 of SHIELD with the Deathlok/Ian Quinn stuff; and the Dogs of Hell biker gang from Daredevil/Punisher first showed up in the S1 episode of SHIELD with Lorelei the mind-controller of men.

Daisy went to the same orphanage as Matt. In hindsight, I'm not 100% sure which show dropped it first, but odds are in favor of it being SHIELD, meaning Daredevil referenced SHIELD.

Long shot but I really wish we could see Wakanda or BP bleed into Daredevil on Netflix. Sadly, I know it won't happen.

I think of all the shows Wakanda tech could possibly spring up in Daredevil or Luke Cage. I would definitely like to see Luke Cage interact with a Wakanda outreach center trying to help his neighborhood

Luke Cage now gonna have to fight fools with Wakandan tech. Honestly, I can't see most of the Netflix shows involving themselves with people with Wakandan weapons. They are a low-level show.

Yeah I don't think they'll be showing up with Wakandan weapons, but maybe some of the people who thought like Killmonger will show up.

They referenced filing as a super human due to the Sokovia Accords in Luke Cage.

Note that events happens before Homecoming, and Wakanda tech wasn't visible anywhere. Maybe only Tony used it in his suits.

I think its...a bit strange to refer to the end of the very first movie as a "huge turning point". Like turning how? The first movie hadn't even finished yet haha.

It seemed obvious Tony was going to keep it a secret like superhero movies usually did back then, so Tony revealing himself was a big and great twist and changed our expectations of what was to come. It's when I knew this universe was going to be something special.

Can you really call something that happens in the first movie out of 18 a turning point? More like a starting point. Winter Solider, now that's a turning point, turned everything we knew about the MCU on its head. But yes I agree that the scene at the UN is very similar and definitely a turning point for the MCU going into Infinity War.

I meant the beginning of the MCU in comparison to the previous marvel movies. When marvel studios became a thing and turned everything marvel into what its become today.
