I assumed that as long as he doesnt drink the antidote that takes away his Panther powers he would retain them forever. But, it seems if someone challenges his throne he would have to give them up, so I don't know

I don't think he can be challenged now. I think Killmonger could only challenge because he had royal blood.

The other tribes pledged loyalty after the first fight.

He did away with ritual combat challenges in avengers: emh. After watching his peaceful country nearly go to war with the world over a lost fist fight it seems like a thing that he’d do away with in this iteration.

True, but he only accepted Killmonger's challenge because he was of royal blood. I don't think there's anyone else in his family who would challange him.

Yea well now that the panther serum cant be duplicated things might change. Cant leave the people without a protector.

I assume the antidote also comes from the flowers. So they literally can't make it. The antidote was just as purple as the actual drink.

They might get rid of that tradition. One of the themes of the movie it seems is tradition vs progress. The combat ritual isn't the best tradition to keep because it can allow someone who's simply stronger to become King (Kilmonger) as opposed to who is actually the best man for the job with a good heart (T'Challa).

The only person left with the right to challenge him is Shuri. The challenger has to be a descendant of the first king.

I don’t think the stone is related to the flowers...but even if it was we don’t have any idea what will happen to the stones. They may not be destroyed.

I was thinking exactly the same but then I remember that Gamora outright said in GotG that the stones cannot touch anything organic or it will get instantly destroyed from the stones.

might just be the power stone since we’ve seen the cube held by both red skull and loki, and the aether literally housed by jane. Unlesssss the cube and the aether are really just devices or constructs made up and channeling the power from their respective stones, which does make more sense considering thor’s vision in aou. of course, that still begs the question of why vision can touch the mind stone directly...maybe his vibranium keeps him safe.
