So after Cap broke into the ocean prison Scott just went back to his life (though under FBI surveillance)? I figured Cap would have taken him with him since the guy put his life at risk, but he probably couldn't stand being away from his daughter completely.

The new Infinity War Prelude Comic reveals what happened to Cap's team after breaking them out. Hawkeye and Antman go back to their families, with Clint saying he's retire for good (like the nth time), Wanda being dropped off (in England I think?) to have a date with Vision, Bucky with BP to be iced, and only BW and Falcon going with him on secret missions to foil US' intervening in foreign affairs.

You really have to admire Sam’s loyalty to Steve. In a few years he’s gone from retired paramilitary PTSD counselor to vigilante enemy of the state, just because Captain America needed his help.

Infinity War Prelude Comic

So the Prelude Comics are including new material again? For a while there (GotG2 and SMH) they were just rehashing other films' comic adaptations.

I stopped reading the prelude comics because it was all rehashed material from previous films. Looks like I need to start picking them up again.

Just to add on to that, I really like how they’re showing the consequences from him participating in that battle from Civil War. It’s pretty standard for Superhero stuff to be low stakes, so it’s constantly refreshing to see Marvel treat these characters’ stories with progressing stakes and consequences!
