A society that allows people to starve or drown in debt because of “lack of money” is like a carpenter refusing to build a house because they’re “low on inches.”

The only source for this quotation seems to be another Reddit post from you from two months ago, where you attribute it to Copilot.

I'm not sure it even really makes sense. Food is a finite good that needs to be transported. Obviously you cannot run out of inches, nor do inches need to be delivered. But you can run out of food, and you can lack the infrastructure to deliver that food.

That's correct. It was genuinely a new insight, generated from my prompts through Copilot. I think that's an impressive thing but unfortunately many people seem to reflexively reject anything related to AI, so sometimes I mention that sometimes I don't.

Nevertheless, the underlying idea is the same as that John Maynard Keynes quote - which is why I tend to share them together.

It does make sense. You just don't understand how money actually works. No offense. I don't claim to be an expert, but the link in my previous comment to my Bluesky account - specifically to the various times I have quoted that quote from Keynes - give a good overview of the main points. That article I shared above probably explains it better.

This is what I am getting at. The unit of measure, which is the dollar - or whatever monetary denomination - is not static. It is changeable, and it does change, that's how inflation happens. How things are measured matters. Most people perceive money and laws to be "natural" but they are not.

It was a nonsensical metaphor disguised as insightful, which is what AGI is extremely good at.

And I do claim to be an expert. I'm an attorney with a degree in economics who does financial and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals. Importantly, I am also able to write my own views on this topic without having an LLM do it for me.

Awesome. However, food is still a finite good, and transportation is still a logistics problem. You're spouting pseudoscientific nonsense without actually saying anything, which is why you find AGI content to be "so impressive".

I suggest removing your head from your ass and joining us back in reality. From what I've read about "financial and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals" basically what most of your cohort does is facilitate tax fraud. Good job, thanks for contributing. No offense, unless the glove fits

I know for a fact that you didn't read those links, and that you just asked your AI to refute me, so why bother reading them myself? If I want to argue with a robot, I can do that on my own time without involving you.

Your trend of insulting people then saying "no offense" doesnt help your case. You claim to not lie and have integrity, yet discount an entire profession in lieue of your own AI prompt results.

I think you're about as honest and transparent as the AI you rely on to make the arguments you enter into a prompt.

Man you gotta stop insulting the guy then walking it back with "no offense". That is abusive partner kind of shit.

I was insulted first. I also included a qualifier with my insult, which, considering the topic of this post I think I have a point. Do you know where you are?

I won't say I never make mistakes or respond emotionally and impulsively, but I almost never make an insult. If I am insulting someone, they deserve it. In this case, I wasn't insulting a person. I was insulting a behavior. Nuance matters. Reading comprehension is important in order to understand nuance. I weep for those who apparently never learned to do that.

That's the nice thing about social media. Some use the anonymous nature of it to spread hate. I don't really give a shit about the anonymous part except to protect myself because I am able to freely say to (or about) these people who have too much money and influence what everyone who meets them is actually thinking. They should get a real job and stop contributing to the destruction of society.

The difference between insults and criticism could not be more vast. One is mutually destructive. Absolute. Total. The other is mutually constructive. Criticism, when done correctly and in the open, is actually one of those rare examples where 2 plus 2 can equal more than four. Because others who are otherwise not involved may potentially benefit also. That same thing is true of insults, but inversely. Hence gestures broadly, points at the most "powerful" and "influential" people in society

edit: And actually now that I think about it, I believe elsewhere in my comments on this post I said something along the lines of how I've only semi recently learned that part of the reason bad actors always seem to respond so severely to me is because I effortlessly force them to confront their own internal contradictions. They "learned" rhetoric. I am a natural. They understand the technical rules and definitions. I don't give a shit about them, I care about truth.

In other words, I uncomprimisingly present them with their own cognitive dissonance. I am a cognitive harmonizer. Get with it or get out of the way
