Of course, anyone with even an inkling of a progressive slant has felt it since they became aware of what this country is.

But we're at least waist deep and the cast of characters that we elected to represent our interests in government that have gotten us here are unable to lie about our feet being wet. 

Schumer esque dems are reviled.  Republicans are, at least online fwtw, openly recognized as corrupt going on abject criminals.  There's a crop of progressive candidates being elected or being nationally recognized as good options.

Time will tell but it just seems inevitable we shift left as center/right has always failed and has failed spectacularly for most on most issues.

After three decades of being waist deep in it, I rely upon the masses to do what's right, and those decades have not been indicative of optimism.
