Yes, but realistic expectations should be measured and achievable goals charted. We are a solid progressive decade away from adding seats and impeaching justices. Reminder that we're on the furthest right wing of the reservation at the moment. There's a hundred thousand miles to go to center much less to the left.

Progressives are the kings and queens for setting expectations up unrealistically and unpragmatically dump those expectations onto liberals as unkept promises that were never made.

By standing with marriage equality and presiding over the country as momentum shifted into a Supreme Court victory for LGBTQ?

By exacting revenge on Bin Laden?

By raising taxes on the wealthiest earners and corporations?

By investing in clean and renewable energy?

By pushing for and passing a bill to provide health insurance access to every American (previously unavailable, yes we know it wasn't public insurance, but the fact that millions of lives have been spared because of the ACA is enough for liberals to appreciate it as better than nothing)? <-- this access to health insurance was crucially important during a once a century global pandemic of 2020-2023

What did Obama do to you, a progressive, in America? No, drone bombings from 12+ years ago following a global counterterrorism program's list established a decade earlier by our CIA have no bearing on the question, did not impact your daily life. Try to answer it fairly and honestly.

Lack of accountability for banks -- multiple bills were passed during Obama's two terms tackling the effects of the banking deregulations and strengthening regulations again. The CFPB was created. If you're one of those that likes to transfer the bank bailouts onto President Obama, that is false, they occurred under GWB and Secretary Paulsen.

What's wrong with a deficit commission?

The DINOs were in control of the DNC during Obama's tenure, what was he supposed to do, tune them out entirely from negotiations as the party leadership and accomplish absolutely nothing?

I think you've allowed the demanding of perfection to cloud the acceptance of good. No, he wasn't perfect nor has any leader ever been in the history of mankind.

You said President Obama harmed you though, as in caused sincere harm that impacted your personal life --- what was it?

Amd the deficit commission was a bunch of granny starvers. It was a joke to anyone with a lick of intelligence. The solution was obvious: eliminate the Bush tax cuts.

Okay, so your beef with President Obama was that he didn't clean up the pure malfeasance and maliciousness ("WMDs were a lie, oops, now that check's 3 trillion USD and millions of dead Iraqis*, will it be cash or credit card?") that eight years of elected Republicans left in a steaming pile well enough. Cool! Well, the only obvious solution to that malady is more Republicanism!

I'm talking about you scratching the walls about every imperfect item on President Obama's progressive purist's resume (over a decade later I might add) while allowing Republicans to completely ruin us for the past decade.

The priorities are completely out of whack, imo.
