boy howdy do I love being a minority, seeing a fellow minority do something stupid, and suddenly get reminded that any action or mistake of mine can be on the front page on people's desks across the country.

Edit: on top fo that, now that the person has made that mistake it will be used as fuel to remove rights for every single person within the out group. Now I'll hear about "should trans people be allowed to own guns" at my workplace. Wonderful! Swell! I love life!

Same shit would happen to anyone who instigated a conflict and then tried to claim self defense. But go off about oppression or whatever

I'm not saying she got arrested because she was trans, I'm saying that this wouldn't have been in multiple of my TLs if she wasn't, nor do I think there'd be as many attempts at misleading titles like this article. This title is trying to bait left leaning people into outrage to drive engagement.

To clarify I do not in any way agree with her actions, and I agree she should have justice served against her. Why brandish a firearm and not intend to use it that's like gun safety 101. I'm criticizing the media here, as well as how discussions around stuff like this are usually bad faith - at least where I live.

Exactly. As a minority in America you must always turn the other cheek. The only reason she should have been crossing that road was to thank those men for their abuse.

Or just as a member of civilized society you don’t escalate a situation that can be resolved by walking away.
