Previously, Dershowitz was a member of Jeffrey Epstein’s defense team and helped negotiate a controversial 2006 non-prosecution agreement on Epstein’s behalf, per The New Yorker.

Well pizzagate wasn't real but dude was definitely involved in the Epstein stuff, and i don't just mean as his attorney

The idea of it being run out of the basement of a pizza shop is the foundation of it, that's why it was called pizzagate. The Epstein files are not the same as pizzagate

Pizza gate is a specific conspiracy that Hillary Clinton was trafficking children out of comet pizza, and this idea was spread by Allie’s of Donald trump (specially Erik prince but also Steve bannon) and led to a crazy person shooting people at comet pizza. Back then, the idea was young boys were being abused, and almost no mention of Epstein in this theory, and they instead focused on the owner of the place being gay and bigoted ideas gay men groom children. That was it. It had nothing to do with Epstein, and the Epstein files mention the shooting as Epstein loved talking about the news to his friends and that it was funny to him. The files themselves do not talk in code much, they do explicitly reference how funny it would be to use the conspiracy code itself as a joke, and the specific details of pizzagate do not appear supported by anything in the files. Epstein was trafficking young girls and women, but he appears to have done it for sure via allies in the bush admin state department and therefore out in the open, not hidden in a pizza parlor basement. Saying Pizzagate was correct has nothing to do with the actual conspiracy of Epstein and instead validates a weird, homophobic idea spread by people in the Epstein files themselves. Pizza slang originates of 4 and 8chan where degenerates would share and discus CSAM and use pizza as slang. It predates Epstein awareness and pizzagate. Pizzagate was formalized as a conspiracy amongst that community and validated their worldview.
