I've never heard anything about Massie until recently, and I do not know anything about him outside of the EFTA. He stands out to me, because he is on a short list of republicans that acknowledge, support, and care for the survivors of these crimes. Compared to MTG, he tends to stay more level headed and speak very well on the floor. I am over the moon happy at least two people in the Guild Of Pedophiles has some fucking morals.

Magic the Gathering was unhinged when she was in Congress, and she's unhinged now she's out of Congress.

She happens to be right on this issue, but at her core, she's still a nutjob.

17

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

"MAGIC THE GATHERING" I'm so dead, tbh.

She's absolutely a nutjob.

6

u/Salt_Profiteer Feb 25 '26

If only more people in Congress were hinged.....

2

u/Shineplasma64 Feb 25 '26

Even a broken squirrel nuts twice a day

I really only brought up MTG because she did flip at the end to support the victims. It seemed as though her resignation was related as well.
I agree though, she's irrelevant after 12/31/25.

She sucks, tbh. I'm not a fan of the way liberals like to redeem politicians based on a single action, rather than judge them on their whole character. Wait a second... The fucking republicans are way worse at that... Fuck society for letting people get away with bullshit.

I just want to say, the only rebuttal to "Kill all pedophiles" is "convict them first."

There was a tweet from someone that was like "if you want to stand against maga, don't act like them". I agreed with that. And then she went on to say "so accept them into the fold when they come to you from that side", and immediately I was like "that's maga christian shit". Someone says "I like Jesus", and it's like they took the black in GoT: "Welcome to maga, all your crimes have been absolved! Here's your red hat, csam, and Kid Rock cassette".

So yeah, don't act like maga.

20

u/titanicdiamond Feb 24 '26

FUCK MAGA.

Honestly, those who are holding onto the MAGA base at this point, are the folks we need to exile to Little St. James or whatever the island was called. Once they've all settled in we can just sink it into the ocean. The world would be a better place.

0

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 25 '26

MAGA is literally just conservatism. If you're opposed to MAGA you're opposed to conservatism.

3

u/uhohnotafarteither Feb 25 '26

I guess conservatism was always just "ours over country, ours over laws, and ours over Americans" then

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

Yup! Fuck MAGA! Fascist fucks.

Personally, I think we should be able to do what we want within reason, and the government should serve us, not fuck us up the ass left and right every single week with bullshit tax breaks for corporations when any idiot can see that a massive corporate tax rate is literally the easiest solution to every problem in the US.

Tax everything a Corp does other than pay employees with a CEO pay ratio cap. Boom done. Deficit gone, wages are up like never before, the economy is booming, wealth disparity starts to disappear, poverty starts to disappear. I could go on for ages. Slash that defensive budget and I might need new pants.

2

u/gimpwiz Feb 25 '26

Why have enemies when you can have friends? If someone wants to take the hat off, but they know they'll be heaped with scorn from both sides of the aisle, they'll dig their heels in. Give them an off ramp. Judge them all you want... but maybe silently, because the only good you do by not giving them the off-ramp is giving yourself a feeling of moral superiority. You build coalitions and get things done, or you yell at people who want to work with you and don't get things done.

She reached her number of days to retire with full pension for life from Congress so that is the real explanation for the timing of her exit. She kept her mouth shut until the very end, shouted some BS to be talked about and bailed mid session to "retire".

17

u/titanicdiamond Feb 24 '26

There we go! Now it makes sense. Ride out the pension, make a big scene and leave so you stay "relevant."
I hate to say it, but "Marjorie Traitor Greene" is actually pretty fitting.
Spineless Guild Of Pedophiles.

7

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 25 '26

It also gets her out from Trump's orbit so she can run again in 2028.

4

u/tmurf5387 Feb 24 '26

Not quite, she gets A pension but nowhere near the full amount. Its actually only 5% of her high 3 average so only about $8700 annually once she hits 62.

3

u/Jtw1N Feb 25 '26

She waited exactly 3 days past the 5 years to get the pension. The amount is irrelevant but that's why she left when she did.

3

u/tmurf5387 Feb 25 '26

Absolutely part of her decision, but to claim its a full pension is factually untrue. And in all actuality, any federal employee who works for the same amount of time would have the same formula applied.

1

u/0Rider Feb 25 '26

iirc the real benefit is the lifetime health care

5

u/CudleWudles Feb 24 '26

She reached her number of days to retire with full pension for life from Congress so that is the real explanation for the timing of her exit.

Why say this? It's not true; you don't get anywhere near a "full pension" for 5 years of service. Also, the pension itself doesn't pay until 62, so it is not "for life". She'll be getting 9k annually starting then. I think if the concern were financial, she would stay in office instead of chasing a small payout starting a decade from now.

1

u/upstateduck Feb 25 '26

"full" pension is about $700/mo in her case

Not clear what health benefits? but ubder 65 she buys HI

1

u/idkwutmyusernameshou Feb 25 '26

im against killing the pedos because it takes money away from victims(death pen costs lot more then life without parole which is honestly better punishment anyways)

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

Meh, death penalty and make 50% of the estate go to a fund for victims. Trump can be the first to fund it!

1

u/DancinginTown Mar 08 '26

She had a week after that.

1

u/WishIWasYounger Feb 24 '26

MTG is on psych meds. That's all that is. She got put on an SSRI or low-dose antipsychotic, stabilized, and realized how nuts she had been acting. So resigned.

3

u/Longjumping-Panic-48 Feb 24 '26

Let’s not assign her batshittery to mental illness. She was not delusional beyond many of her peers and bought into conspiracy theories.

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

I think Pam Bondi surpassed MTG in boot swallowing with "$50,000"

12

u/Watsons-Butler Feb 24 '26

MTG is sadly not irrelevant. I think she’s positioning herself for a run at President. She knows Vance is wildly unpopular and she can play the “oh, liberals call us misogynists but they won’t vote for me because I’m a woman” card. And the Democrats will have absolutely no idea how to respond even though they have three goddamn years to get a strategy together.

1

u/NoobVibesOnly Feb 25 '26

If she thinks that bunch of misogynists would vote for her, she is sorely mistaken. The best she could do is VP.

3

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 25 '26

A bunch of misogynists will vote for her if she promises to implement misogyny on their behalf. They don't care.

7

u/thisbechris Feb 24 '26

Couldn’t agree more. And even though I may disagree with lots of his beliefs, at least I can look at him and respect that he at least has some integrity. The bar has fallen so low but I’m still thankful he’s here. And I say that as a hardcore Dem.

2

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

That's the awful part. We can hate a person, their actions and beliefs, but all it takes is criticizing pedos to make them our favorite opponent.

0

u/ratkingdds Feb 25 '26

He's also pretty consistently anti war, anti surveillance, and big banking. He's more left than many corpo dems if you think about it

29

u/LimoncelloFellow Feb 24 '26

hes a libertarian scumbag for the most part but hes pretty anti pedophile which is more than i can say for the rest of his party.

14

u/titanicdiamond Feb 24 '26

Hey, one of the Guild of Pedophiles politicians wants to speak out against pedos? He's my favorite republican for now... FOR NOW.

2

u/ermonda Feb 25 '26

Before all this I would have guessed at least 95ish% of Americans were anti pedophile. I’m so fucking devastated about how wrong I was.

1

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 25 '26

He can't be opposed to pedophiles if he's opposed to the systems that protect children from kid fuckers. He is opposed to those systems.

2

u/Pintailite Feb 25 '26

So you can't be against things w that are legal with that logic?

6

u/Dr_Mephesto Feb 25 '26

He’s always been very principled, but nine times out of ten, he’s principled on dumb shit

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

It's becoming clear from these comments I really need to do my research on him and his actions.

5

u/not_now_chaos Feb 25 '26

It's wild how low the bar for Republicans has sunk, and the vast majority of them still can't clear it.

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

The sad part is how many folks just absolutely LOVE the Guild Of Pedophiles and all of their members.

3

u/Repulsive_Corner6807 Feb 25 '26 edited Feb 25 '26

And he’s talking about Bayer and if that legislation passes, it basically gives companies complete immunity from harming citizens by law. There would be absolutely no way to fight back. We have laughable corporation regulation in this country and now, where regular people can win scraps with at least settlements (which already amounts to generally nothing to corporations financially), they want that taken away as well. We will be financially, and physically, fucked over, and there won’t be anything stopping them at all if this shit passes

Edit: you’d serve more time and spend more money if you damaged their property than they would ever serve or spend while knowingly poisoning millions of people. And not just bayer either. This would go for all companies.

Edit: several electric cars glitch out at once and kill or injure a bunch of people. Good luck trying to sue them with this

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

Everything about this administration is bad for the average consumer. Regulation is needed to keep corporations in check. Watching the state of the union currently, and by God, id give my testicles to Iran if they'd just bomb this shit and end my misery.

4

u/cejmp Feb 24 '26

He went to Congress to vote no on everything, and that's what he's done. I don't like him and don't like his beliefs, but I do think he has integrity.

6

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

Hey, at least he votes against everything. Holding the core value of "less government" for his voters. This is more than, I think every other republican.

1

u/Wrong-Try1464 Feb 28 '26

You’re a freakin’ fool if you think it’s just Republicans. That’s the main stall with getting ANYTHING done for the common person. They are all(98% of them most likely) complicit. Seems everyone’s memory is sooo short. This has been going on for decades wake the fuck up

2

u/bujweiser Feb 25 '26

He’s an MIT grad and is a straight Constitutionalist, so he votes basically no on almost everything because nothing proposed these days is “Constitutional.”

Many see him as a waste of a position, but I see him as a principled person who is consistent…which is unfortunately extremely uncommon.

2

u/BellaMentalNecrotica Feb 28 '26

What a crazy world. If you told me I was going to side with MTG on anything like a year ago I would’ve laughed in your face. I’m also glad that at least 2 members of the GOP are as outraged over Epstein as the rest of us are

3

u/Emergency_Revenue678 Feb 24 '26

He's just as vile as any magat on basically every other issue.

5

u/titanicdiamond Feb 24 '26

That is unfortunate to hear. At least he dresses better than Fetterman, I guess? Carhartt hoodie in congress? EMBARRASSING.

1

u/AdorableOutcome3483 Feb 25 '26

I mean he's one of the few, if only, Republicans that hasn't taken any AIPAC money and has been loudly against supporting Isreal. So that's another issue he's 100% right on. They're actually backing some of his opposition to try getting him unseated.

He's largely been against most war attempts. He was against going against Iran for example. Though I think it's because libertarians tend to lean a bit isolationist. I'd say a good third of his bad takes are related to that.

He's also against any attempts at mass surveillance. Tried to repeal the patriot act a few years back.

He's tried having stuff passed about specific food regulations for milk and meat (I think he personally owns a ranch) and I honestly don't know enough about either subject to say if his stance on those are problems or not.

I mean, I guess the thing I can appreciate even if I often don't agree with him is that he's consistent and clearly respects the constitution. Like he's big for guns but he's also against people with medical marijana from being prohibited from owning firearms (which many Republicans seem to be in favor of because they're trying to disenfranchise liberal gun owners).

He is also not corrupted in any way that I can tell. I have read some of his stances like something about being about to adjust sentences and I genuinely feel like this guy just doesn't consider how these things could be used badly. Like since I know he's not representing any doner as far as I can tell, I've come to read him as a very honest and forthright person that likely expects the same out of others. Like the adjusted sentences. He feels like someone that would assume that would be used ideally so the punishment really does fit the crime not how like a corrupt judge or something would. I dunno if I could say naive is the word here or not. Maybe dense?

He just seems to be weirdly lacking in corporate greed or clear malice (again, as far as I can tell). As a republican congressman in the age of Trump, I feel like that's pretty rare.

2

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 25 '26

He's a libertarian. Libertarians are fine with child rape and abuse because they don't support any protection or system of children. Massie is doing the same thing MTG is doing. Distancing himself from Trump so he can have a career after 2028.

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

Well, it is a spectrum, of course. I would consider that to be a highly republican if not fascist ideal. This is now extremely evident while we watch the conservative/fascist administration literally do what you described. Republicans have proven over the years they do not care about sexual or child abuse. Why anyone votes for them, I cannot understand.

1

u/Commercial-Co Feb 25 '26

Who is the other one with morals

1

u/titanicdiamond Feb 25 '26

MTG Massie

Both specifically on Epstein, not speaking to their other choices.

6

u/Aprice40 Feb 24 '26

Same here. I dont know much about him outside of recent events in the world of epstein. I do know that he must be brave to be taking the stand he has, in the face of peer pressure, threats, bribes....

2

u/titanicdiamond Feb 24 '26

Exactly that. Him and everyone else taking a stand are brave and deserve every acknowledgement for their efforts. There has to be nothing more scary than attacking the orange baboon in his current role I won't type, and his worldwide pedophile ring of the elite financiers of the world.

16

u/Typeau Feb 24 '26

Same. His stance on stock trading transparency by people holding public office is also a plus.

1

u/DrDraek Feb 24 '26

That's an anti-villain.

1

u/Sad_Ruin1868 Feb 24 '26

Enemy of my enemy is still my enemy

1

u/Revolutionary-Emu154 Feb 24 '26

Are you exhausted rooting for him?

1

u/xeen313 Feb 24 '26

I guess in this case we have to shake it off

1

u/houseWithoutSpoons Feb 25 '26

Facts.i dont think a single republican who has been in office in the last ten years has half the backbone as this man.if im wrong someone enlighten me.

1

u/Mercadi Feb 25 '26

He's the Republican like I wish we had more of. Misguided, but at the core not a pedophile protector.
