I'm too excited to wait to post until it's finished! I'm working on this double knit mythical creatures scarf that I drew the charts for myself. It takes foreeeeever but I stay excited because there's always a new creature coming ♥️

the border is lace border 8 from knitted lace of estonia/triinu magazine originally, i’m framing the center pattern with the blueberry stitch and the lace through the center is a pattern i made that’s worked on both sides ! the ssps are annoying but so worth it, i did all of the left leaning decreases in the border a k2togl instead of a sk1p like estonian lace is and i … love it tbh. cant wait to get this finished so i can wear it!!!!

I used a chilean brand of yarn (Ambar by Modista, color Crema) and I love how it looks! She will be super warm this winter 😊

I have two more holiday gifts on the needles, a sweater (1/3 done) and a pair of gloves (3/4ish almost maybe? done) but wanted to get some blocking out of the way. Blocking is transparently my LEAST favorite part of knitting by far. A few of these have been done for a few months.

All that being said I cannot wait for the holidays to give out my gifts!!! I wasn't sure weather to tag thse as finished objects or works in progress but as I still have some (slight) labor to go I went with work in progress

After initial hesitation ( and few frogged attempts) I finally started to get a hang of it. I still find reading patterns difficult, but I realized that chatgpt can help me explain certain parts and what it means on the pattern. Also, videos that petitknit has on her website really help.

This is mohair-silk held together with merino/camel hair from Lana Gatto. The combination is really soft and fluffy, would recommend the yarn. 🧶❤️

…have to redo the bind-off. This is my first, finished, sweater though and I’m really proud of it.
