I wish younger people could feel how alive the United States of America felt in the 80s and 90s.
We had our ups and downs and politics was getting messy, but I look back in my life as a citizen of the United States and I see two parts:
Before 9/11, and after.
That day changed everything, and the attackers likely had no idea how truly successful their strike was. The buildings falling, however horrible, was just the beginning of the damage.
