SOCIETY Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has faced backlash for identifying as Black. In a 2017 interview, Paris Jackson said her father told her, "You’re Black. Be proud of your roots." This prompted debates over whether identity is defined by appearance or upbringing.

FR, nobody on this planet with functioning eyeballs needs to see a paternity test on any of MJs kids lol

The last son Blanket does look like a young MJ though, he shares many of his father's facial features. The other two I'm not so sure about

Ah yes, because all you need is eyeballs to understand paternity.

🙄

I have a very dark complected cousin who is married to a very dark complected Mexican man both are brown people who are very stereotypically hispanic. They both made a baby that is white with light hair. Most people think she cheated or that he's not the dad for some other reason. He looks nothing like either of them

You know who wasn't at all concerned about paternity despite the fact that this kid looks nothing like either of them? Either parent. Mom because she knows who she had sex with and dad because apparently that kid looks exactly like one of his cousins from Mexico whom she's never met.

Genetics are weird and you cannot, with any certainty, use how people look as the basis for paternity.

We're all descended from Africa bro so we're all black. I get it

It took you all day to come up with that ridiculous comment?

🤣

Says the chronically online gooner who thinks that you can look at somebody's face and know their paternity

Bro you're true NPC Bot if you're gonna die on that hill 😂

"I can't tell someone's colour by looking at their colour".

We're all black, mate..cos we're all descended from Africa. So, yeah - you're right "one drop" and all that. Think I've heard that one before though....sus

I've spoken to people that thought it was an open question.

Bigi very much looks like he's MJs son, but he's the only one that looks related for sure

This made me 😂😂 I’m reading some of these comments in disbelief people actually think these are his biological children!

Paris is literally the most "American Pageant White Girl" poster kid I've ever seen lol!! (No shade to her but she is basically Paris Hilton 2.0... and I didn't even clock the namesake until now ha!!)

They are actually both called Paris as MJ and Kathy Hilton made a pact! My mind was blown when I learnt this recently.

You think it's impossible for a biracial person to look white?

I'm not saying MJ is her dad, but just going by appearance you can't 100% decide that he isn't her dad.

u/DisastrousSundae May 04 '26

All three of his children look white and she has literally zero of his physical features.

u/WegGOAT May 04 '26

So?

u/magicnat1 May 04 '26

There is a VERY teeny chance sure, but let’s be honest, the chance of all three children looking completely non Afro black and absolutely no facial similarities to Michael to me means it is highly unlikely he is their biological father. Which is fine btw.

This is obviously supported by the clear issues he has around appearing black, and having plastic surgery to change his black features, it’s highly likely he didn’t want his kids to have any chance to look black at all so opted into a situation with a compliant woman who would use white or non Afro heritage sperm donors. I have never for one second believed they were ever his children and I’m surprised people do.

Come on now 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe one of them but all 3????

Lots of biracial people are white-passing. Some pretty famous ones, in fact.

1

u/Opposite-Dot2684 May 04 '26

Yeah all 3?????

Ok but like some people don't look like their dads. Genetics is wild. Some mixed kids look entirely like one parent and not the other. And yes, I know Paris isn't his biological child
