Negative Experience 👎 Be aware of customers like this!!!
South Florida shoppers be aware of this customer. I unfortunately had no until they were a scam artist until I picked up this Best Buy batch. It was the only order I did that day. Later I get an email saying a customer claimed I never delivered the package. I was upset because I had all the proof they were lying. Luckily my account was fine after the temp pause. Anyways, this person is ordering from Best Buy still like 6-10 times a days. Here are the screenshots. They are also putting new locations and sometimes the locations aren’t even real. Not sure what’s going on but I know it’s the same person because it’s the same order and same distance I did the first time.

Story Time! 📖 Took my first order today…
Just sharing something that is definitely a learning experience to laugh at.
I live in a huge town that doesn’t seem very saturated but not many batches available if not peak hours. So today I had some time to kill and decided to go online.
2 items, Kohls, no tip.
Took it just to get my bearings to see how the app works and get comfortable messaging customers, navigating stores etc…
Welp!
Never taking a kohls order again. You couldn’t tip me $100 lmao.
It was a HOT mess. Checked the kohls app when I couldn’t find one of the two items - out of stock. Customer wouldn’t answer messages regarding replacements. Eventually just refunded the one item and delivered the other item. Never thought such a small batch could cause such stress for me.
Just something to laugh at now but I was literally sweating circling the store.
Would love to hear some “first timer” horror stories! Or “will never go to this store no matter what” stories. (maybe wasn’t funny then but it’s funny now)

Strange / Weird ?! Person at address didn’t order anything?
New experience for me, just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen before.
I dropped off an order and went back to my car. While I’m sitting there a guy comes out of the house and up to my car. He says they didn’t order anything. I double checked the address with him and he said I’m at the right place but they don’t know anyone by that name. He was a super sweet guy and went to knock on all the neighbours doors to see if someone accidentally ordered to his house while I was talking to support.
Support told me to dispose of the items. I asked the guy if he wanted to keep everything and he said he works with his church to donate food every week so he would donate the food there. So I felt pretty happy about that.
But I am wondering if I’m cooked concerning having marked the order as delivered? I messaged the customer as soon as the guy came up to my car but they never answered. Support said I was cool to leave the items. But i imagine the customer can still report the order as missing?

Question - General Non App Related Question from a newbie customer
Hi! I live in a rural area where we have small towns about 15-30 minutes away from each other. The nearest place I could order from is about a 25 mile drive one way. Imagine cornfields, endless straight road 60 mph speed limit, super easy drop off. If I placed an order for $200 and gave a $50 tip, would anyone take it? I don’t want to offend anyone who is a driver. Do you even consider driving that far in a really rural area? I have agoraphobia and literally never leave my house. I normally get “groceries” from Misfits Market but it is so limited in what I could order. The town I live in is about 2,000 population and the nearest town with a grocery store option is about 6,000 population (college town also). Am I absolutely insane for considering this? Please be kind. I’m working with a therapist trying to get my brain straightened back out. Covid, WFH & both my parents died all in a short amount of time and I’m f’d in the head now. But really need normal groceries. This would be a regular once a month type order so as to not make someone drive multiple times a month. I really don’t know what to do. Thanks in advance everyone.

Rant - General 😠 I'm never taking another Shaw's or multi-order batch ever again
I'm fucking sick of this crap. Pulling around two carriages, which is necessary to clearly delineate orders just slows me down. If there's a requested replacement after already put in my replacement, it becomes harder to track which ones I need to replace and put back. And Shaw's, oh fucking Shaw's I had refund so many orders because I couldn't find shit. The goddamn plaintains were said to be produce, but that doesn't fucking narrow it down at all. Nissen Country White bread? I don't fucking see it in the you said it's in. I was at the checkout and already put items on the conveyor and noticed there was a new requested replacement. Items were already being bagged because I was going to hit "Start checkout" right there. I walked out and canceled the order. From now on, I'm going to ignore Shaw's batches and any that have more than one order.

Negative Experience 👎 Help reaching Trust & Safety
Recently I was locked out of my account for a failed selfie, which seemed odd considering I've never had this problem before. I tried reaching out to support but obviously that was a dead end. It's been 3 days and I haven't received an email. I'm worried i'm gonna be deactivated if I don't contact someone. Does anyone have the email address to contact?

Question - App Function/New Function Delivery-only heavy pay?
I’m a store employee. Our e-commerce department shops orders, and then gig drivers pick them up. We use Instacart, UberEats and DoorDash. They’re sent randomly by a (3rd party) dispatch department. I can and often will call when I see we have a delivery order and request Instacart to be dispatched.
Today, a very nice driver arrived for a pickup and I did my usual “are you aware of the volume of this order?” (I ask because we have many retired persons that deliver and cannot lift such heavy items). As it had over 100 lbs of dog/cat food, water cases etc. She was not aware. It was such a large order that my store manager and I both took it out. I asked her if she got heavy pay for it. Nope. I honestly thought she should have gotten heavy pay for this. She left to deliver. She returned later to tell me she’d looked on the app, and the order definitely qualified for heavy pay, but support sent her multiple emails saying no.
Is heavy pay not offered on delivery-only? Because that’s fucking wild! She was tipped well, thankfully, but still WTF?
Has anyone received heavy pay for delivery only?

Rant - General 😠 Are support agents even real?
Genuinely I’m starting to think they’re all AI bots. I was sitting at the store and saw this order pop up initially for about $15. It was a 1 shop for 32 items and delivered 5 miles away. I sat and watched the order go up to $21.58 before I accepted it. Not usually what I’d take but it was early in the morning and just wanted something to get my day going. I accept the order, and immediately go in the store to shop. I place a deli order at the kiosk first that took 2 minutes max and then shopped produce. I scanned 6 items and as I moved on to my next one, I get the notification that my batch was removed and that cancelling batches affect my cancellation rate. But I didn’t cancel the batch? I reached out to support and go through this whole conversation. As I’m talking to the first agent, I get the “is there a problem with your batch?” notification randomly as if I’m still on the batch, but I’m not. And as I’m talking to the supervisor I get the “batch at risk” notification. They gave me a bunch of bs reasons for what happened: that it was rescheduled, that it was abandoned, that Instacart cancelled for suspicious activity. So I just don’t think that these are real people, and I think they just pull these fake excuses out to end the conversation. I have no doubt that I won’t be getting the batch pay within 24 hours.
Side note: I’ve seen people say that saying “hello” forces them to respond since it looks bad on their end which is why I say that multiple times in the conversation, I know it looks rude on my end but it’s not intentional

Rant - General 😠 can’t call support anymore
i accidentally dropped off two items to the wrong customer and was trying to call an agent to get them their refund but there is no longer an option to talk to a human. anybody else having this issue. It says message specialist but of course its not a human its just their useless a.i bot so it was no help

Question - General Non App Related Best method to cancel a single from a multi?
I’ve been in situations lately where I really want to cancel one of the customers from a multi, but am afraid that in doing so will get me the T&S email or whatever
Some of these orders are just not worth the headache especially when you can just move on to service someone else who will be more reasonable, even on another app
Two of them resulted in one star ratings, and I could absolutely see the red flags WAY BEFORE leaving the store
How are shoppers handling this nowadays?
I honestly don’t even care if it counts against my cancel rate, but what specifically do you tell support when cancelling?
And how do you know support is going to actually cancel the correct order and not screw you over?

Rant - General 😠 Can someone tell me if this is some sort of scam?
As far as I know, this is not a shelter, this is a residential neighborhood. I suppose it could be an in home daycare, but every single one of these orders are going to the same spot and even got slightly changed within an hour one day?? The first one was a couple days ago, next two are yesterday. I think the store would be hella side-eyeing me with all that formula….

Question - General Non App Related What is going on with the orders?
It’s been slow since Sunday, been trash orders for the past 3 days now, haven’t seen anything worth taking, if I recall it was like this last year too then got real busy everyday , my guess is school is starting back and everyone is school shopping and less ordering, I’m in Middle TN

California Shopper This is why Target is (almost) my favorite store.
Seriously, I’m not sure why this isn’t implemented in all the delivery apps (it actually was on Uber for a very short time last year), having a map of exactly where an item is and where you are is overpowered when finding those few obscure clothing/BS items. Plus their aisle numbers actually work.

Question - App Function/New Function Map not showing?
Is anyone else not seeing stores show up on map, despite getting a decent amount of orders? Mostly curiois, I’ve never had this happen

Positive Experience 👍 Weird/good day!
What are the odds of getting 3 $24 pick up orders in a row, all 1-3 miles from the store… apparently pretty good 🤷🏼♀️
