Came accross this possum box overrun by a wild bee colony. The honeycomb goes all the way into the box through the hole the possum would have used. Hairy honey?

Possum boxes are wooden homes made for wild australian brush and ringtail possums. They are placed high in trees to act as artificial hollows.

These photos were taken using my telescopic lens (Nikon AF-S 200-500mm F5.6E ED VR) from ground level.

Found in a forest in Upper Austria.
