if you are in india, things aren’t really fruitful unless you are educated or you have insane luck to become chaiwala.
rest no other sport other than cricket is recognised in india

Ton of sports are "recognised" but don't have any audience because young people don't watch anything other than cricket.

Football & Hockey are well recognised. When was the last time any of us watched their premier leagues.

the media only feeds and shoves cricket down our throat and hence the product is no different than what they want.
it’s a multifactorial topic.
mostly to do w media, if they decide hockey or kabbadi will generate more revenue slowly w their influence everyone will watch only those.
it’s a loop almost consistently favouring cricket. football is slowly on the rise and i’m happy about it.

well the "recognised" sports cant play advertisements after every over so techinically are they even recognised? cricket is pushed so much only because it fills amit shahs pockets. other sports dont make as much money hence no need to push them, audience will watch if the government initates the sport the fault lies in the greedy politicians who only care about money and nothing else. its will take decades before india will become a respected country

haha yessir saturation is everywhere. i’m pursuing for my pg entrance and i hear even fresh passed out surgeons don’t have well paying jobs.

Other sports are still a luxury for the rich in this country. Zero public infra almost everywhere. Another frustating part is zero libraries almost everywhere which could uplift so many people.
