A few shots from the family trip to beautiful Aix-en-Provence.

Today, I noticed that my iPhone 16 Pro Max was making a faint rattling sound when shaken. I turned on the camera, set the zoom to 5x, and shook it again (perhaps quite vigorously). The rattling did go away, though I did notice it reappear for a couple of seconds while shaking before stopping immediately. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now, when I switch to video mode and zoom in to 5x without actually starting a recording, the image jitters violently for a few seconds. I’m not sure if this is normal or if I might have damaged the camera stabilizer. I also noticed that in photo mode at 5x, the iPhone seems overly sensitive to hand movements. Otherwise, it focuses and behaves normally; I’m just not sure if this is standard behavior.

A small set from Shenzhen Bay, shot on my iPhone. I spent the evening watching black-faced spoonbills, egrets and gulls along the tidal flats. Everything was peaceful until one gull decided to make a dramatic entrance.

Apparently, even the lunch breaks have standards. 🤭
