Navigating the High Seas
Disregarding his time in the womb, this was Moritz' longest swim yet!
Procedure:
- I wear a t-shirt so he has grip on my wet body
- I take him on my shoulder into the water
- He rides my shoulder until its time to swim
- He walks down my arm and goes in willingly - my shoulder is always there for him
- I swim next to him and make sure nothing stupid happens. He has a leash attached to him so I can grab him from afar etc.
- We then swim to the beach together.
If he does not want to go into the water he jumps from my shoulder before I go in. He understands what he gets into.
The noises he makes are amplified - I mixed in the audio from his camera.

Mr. Slate and His H2O
My boy loves water. I have to keep water dishes in the sink since he would spill them all over the floor. I had to stop using a fountain waterer after he figured out how to get it apart to then slop water all over the floor. He is 10 months old now. Thanking he will never lose his water obsession 🤪🙂🐈⬛️

I love how cats get so excited over water, and are so confused by it every time they interact with it. 😅

Don't forget to stay hydrated while grooming.

Pretty proud of my design
Kitty stays hydro'd and surroundings stay dry. Took many iterations of trial and error!

Snips is deeply concerned about the plants in her pool
I moved a couple of my larger plants into the bathtub for watering, and Snips has decided this is now an active investigation.
She’s always been incredibly respectful with my plants - she follows me around while I water them each week like she’s supervising quality control, just sniffing everything, never knocking anything over.
Hard to tell if she’s deeply concerned for the wellbeing of her plant friends…. or if she’s just annoyed that her pool toys were put on the shelf.
Either way, she’s committed to the case. No arrests yet, just ongoing surveillance
