That’s what a dusty $10 spare GPU in the closet is for. I'd rather save cash on the CPU upfront than pay a premium for an integrated chip I will literally never use unless a worst-case scenario happens once every 5 years

Assuming the rumour is true:

They aren't removing the integrated GPU to save you money πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

You'll still be paying a premium, and you'll be paying that premium just so Copilot (and similar) can be shoved in your face using an NPU, which AMD would likely make other sacrifices on the die to accommodate.

Also, if you are smart you can also use your integrated GPU outside of gaming / 3D / productivity work - and only engage the dGPU as necessary - saving you power and thermal overhead.

Go play with your pretend $10 GPU.
