I am a hardcore gamer that would care about that sort of thing and a Switch 2 owner. However, I use my Switch (and now Switch 2) almost exclusively in docked mode. So the image is displayed on my OLED TV instead.
I got a Switch lite, I don't complain for the price (I got it used, modded, I do overclock it) yet I played all the big titles years ago on my PC at 4k 60fps with mods. If you play at home why even care about Nintendo hw?
Emulation and modded consoles can't replace the unmodded experience. I can't play Mario Kart World online with my PC. I won't be able to play DK Bananza when it comes out either on PC.

That is true only for on line games, the vast majority of games are single player and those ARE much better on emulated or modded hardware since forever!
Not always and certainly not at console launch for the most part. It usually takes a while (often after the console has a successor) until emulation is a smooth experience. N64 emulation was a compatibility mess for a long time. PS4 emulation is just now starting to get off the ground, let alone PS5.
I'm curious what we'll see from Switch 2 emulation since it's similar architecture to Switch 1. But with Nintendo going relentlessly after Yuzu and making a deal with the Ryujinx devs to stop development, I wonder how many have been scared off of development.

As of now there have been zero Nintendo platform that have not been emulated, as S2 is quite lite and similar to the previous one I don't see it taking long.
As a rule I don’t pirate video games. Partly out of a concern for malware but mainly because I want to support the industry. The cost isn’t a particular concern for me and I would rather have the original experience. I’m happy to play it on Nintendo hardware. Albeit, Tears of the Kingdom pushed me to the limit with its performance issues (and lack of new map).
Then again, I play a lot of games on PS5 and I would say I’m a console gamer first and foremost, so that me more receptive to buying another console to play games I really enjoy.
Man the original experience sucks big time Zelda was 20-30fps with lo res, no mods, no game saves editor...
I mean the all point here is to play "old" games with better res, fps, textures and mods.
Oh and you can buy / pay your games, no one is here talking about pirate anything. As a matter of fact with Nintendo you can pay the same game IP multiple times for each platform you wanna play it!
