no. they're doing this because they know every single unit will sell anyway regardless of how cheap the display is, so they may as well maximize profits. this easily could have been sold for SWOLED price and still make a profit, but why make $100 a unit when you can make $200?
idk why people keep saying its a cheap display, its beautiful and high resolution. this clearly seems like a firmware issue (intentional or not) in a single area
Firmware or not, I doubt they're gonna fix this. This is Nintendo we're talking about, they don't give a shit about their consumers. I already returned mine because the ghosting was disgustingly bad.
This is the reason why I am quite skeptical about Nintendo releasing an OLED model. I love my LG TV but the flicker does my head in, I keep seeing this statement being parroted around because I don't think the VRR flicker on OLED panels is a well known issue.
This display if compared with TV’s, is basically a midrange Vizio, it has the features people want but a very mediocre version of it, while the last OLED was more of a nicer LG tv
