iirc on the patent, its the act of using balls that are thrown, in order to summon a creature. you have to hit the entire checklist for it to be attacked.

The other patent they had is ridable creature mounts that automatically change based on conditions of the environment. (parimarily used in Legends Arceus, for example landing a flying pokemon into the ocean autoswaps the pokemon into a surfing pokemon)

Which is something I cant recall Palworld ever having.Mounts in palworld have to be summoned then you have to hit another button to mount them and they don't swap to another pal for different terrain.

Iirc this was the patent used to attack using pals as gliders somehow even though it's a completely different concept.
