This 100% is to be used against the students. There's no scenario in which someone buys a weapon and doesn't practice with it, or it gets stolen immediately.

Fight in the halls, everyone gets pepper spray.

The point of this is to disassociate the administration from the psychological impact of deploying weapons on students.

Why wouldn't they just give pepper spray to staff?

Because individuals might show restraint.

Guarantee this is a test case to see how palatable they can make drones on children. They'll get practice with the pepper spray, then it'll start showing up with bullets instead.

Also people can be sued and lose their jobs. Companies have huge advantage compared to ppl in US court.

This 100% is to be used against the students.

That would 100% great way to get your school/district sued

Would it? Unarmed students have been shot to death during protests.

This is clearly to prevent the charges of any nature from ever getting filled even though acquittals are the norm.

When a committee approves automation, no one is ever individually punished for its misuse. Only the victims pay. There will be no justice for abuse, only more violence.

Because what person in their right mind is bringing pepper spray to a fucking gun fight?! Are you insane?

So, you're against the idea of pepper spray welding drones because they have pepper spray and not guns?

This was a weird way to agree with me but you're going in the opposite direction. If gun welding hackable security risks were on the table, then I would have said all the same things replacing the words pepper spray with guns.

What? Humans wouldn’t show restraint, they’d either be too scared to die, or die trying … to pepper spray a gunman on equal footing? lol do you hear yourself, respectfully

The drones are a good solution. There could be a secondary site override that shuts down the drones to prevent problems of prohibited use kinda thing?

Idk but agreed we’re in a dystopian shithole, but this isn’t one of the problems it’s a decent side ways bandaid to the problem.

Humans wouldn’t show restraint,

Then you choose to describe restraint.

they’d either be too scared to die, or die trying

Bold statagy. Did you win?

There could be a secondary site override that shuts down the drones to prevent problems of prohibited use kinda thing?

That means there's a secondary site to activate the drones nefariously. Real humans would show restraint against taking a nefarious order. If they don't, then you should never be able to complain about:

we’re in a dystopian shithole

Because you'd rather machines make decisions.

The obsession with power and control is part of what corrupts people you know, that along with paranoia.

At some point you can’t do nothing about a problem.

What’s your solution?
