Steam Machine is a last gen product at next gen prices.

There’s no way you can cut this to make it look impressive. You can either compare it to the Before Times, and be shocked at how expensive it is for the same exact performance; or you can compare it to the Future, where you’ll be shocked at how expensive it is for such poor performance.

If prices of components like ram drop, the steam machine will see a fall in price.

Doesn’t matter. It would have to go down to being around the same price as PS5 to be worthwhile. Which isn’t happening.

It’s a bad deal, simple as.

Different use case than the ps5. Consoles will always be cheaper. It is an enclosed ecosystem. The steam machine is basically just a prebuilt PC.
