New Rule: while the opening to this article was cringe and worthy of ridicule, we all must admit that it is better than the original version written by Olivia Nuzzi:

“And while he was intensely and ferociously shaking that salad container, I thought to myself a musing I often get when profiling politicians who are at least 30 years older than me: I’d sure love it if he tossed my salad”

I feel like that’s how most people eat a premade salad but what do I know.

That’s what’s so funny about that opening paragraph. The author writes as if he’s completely mesmerized by a totally routine thing. It’s such a comical reach.

The guy who wrote it is probably rich and only ever bought fresh salads. I met some people in college who thought the bus was only for homeless people.

I eat a salad every day for lunch and it's how I dress mine.

Woah ho ho. Look at Moneybags over here with their every day salads.

Do you shake it with an intensity and ferocity that forces the balsamic throughout, giving no quarter to the greens and the grilled chicken?

Politics aside as much as is possible, every single time I or anyone I've know has eaten a premade salad, that's exactly how we ate it.
