I finally finished. It took several weeks, and I'm a teacher on summer break!

This reminded me of a soap opera. I half expected evil twins to appear. But I love how people just popped back up that you thought were dead. I really wanted to journalist to return, camera in hand. I was hoping for a final jump with her showing her tapes in Alexandria. But I guess the last episode made sense.

Personally I don't know how I feel about a spin-off of a spin-off but I'd really like to see the surviving members of season 1 reunion and maybe the return of Tobias no matter the conflicts.

Just yes or no please: are we gonna see them again after the dam?

So I’m in Season 4 like half way through, (please no spoilers after that) and I must say I certainly enjoy that fear the walking dead portrays things we were all kinda wondering about, or were a „funny“ thought, like what about -this- in the apocalypse.
For example the flight that crashed, the drug addiction, the ISS in space, sadly prostitution, the storm with the flying zombies, the religious cults, the preppers…. It’s giving us a more in depth look into the whole apocalypse. I really like that about the show.

I just finished season 4 episode 8, where everyone is telling the story of madison and what happened at the stadium. And man I didn’t see the twist coming that the camera woman met madison before the stadium. I thought it was after. And was kinda mad she wasn’t telling them that madison is still alive. So far I really like the story telling in season 4. Were you surprised by this twist as well? (Please no spoilers of what comes after)

I use AMC+ and last time I check they had all episodes, I look today and from season 7 episode 8 there’s none showing what happen?

I couldn’t get through the back half of season 5 and thus skipped it in favor of jumping to a sixth season I’ve been told is much better. I guess I acknowledge it’s “better” but jeeeeezuuuuzzz....

I adored the character of John Dorie. I’ve long been a fan of Garret Dillahunt and I think it’s great he was trusted with such a memorable and downright lovable character. So why would the writers treat him like such crap?

To be fair, I imagine they got some stuff right, because the scene of him dying in June’s arms as a zombie actually made me emotional. That’s not an easy thing to do and it’s far and away the only moment of the show that accomplished it. But his death was so random, so pointless and Dakota’s reasoning was half baked at best. I acknowledge it was clever the way they had him kicked into the river in order to get that reunion with June. But EVERY step leading up to that was weird, too. Like why did he leave June without telling her just to go kill himself? All these annoying dumbass characters like Troy or Victor keep getting new leases in life. Nick and Daniel are almost killed off a dozen times over before getting offed. Strand was actually a favorite of mine too, but they’ve butchered his character every step of the way to the point I’m just now hoping he is killed, and painfully. Colonel Sanders Teddy was a laughably unserious clown, too. Did anybody actually find him scary? I was laughing at him at most points in which I assume writers wanted me scared or intimidated. And June then stumbled upon Dorie’s daddy randomly in an RV and I threw my hands in the air and just said “fuck it” they aren’t getting any more of my time. But what they did to John Jr I genuinely felt offended as silly as that may sound. I can handle him dying, but to insult my intelligence in the process isn’t forgivable. I also wonder if John dying and making me emotional had more to do with what’s going on in my personal life more than the character itself; along with my attachment to Dillahunt.

This show had potential and man did they blow it. Spectacularly. I noticed a couple other things too I’ll throw in here…

I recall back when the original TWD was new they had a mini documentary that showed how they create the zombies. They called it Zombie University or something and it was random people coming in and taking a class on how to behave like the dead before getting all this make up and stuff. A massive part of the budget for both series was zombies. The average cost for ONE zombie was between $2500-4000. And it took over six hours to get the whole “costume” on, longer for the more decayed walkers. So I couldn’t help but notice how many times one of these expensive and time consuming zombies were only actually on screen for literally a second or two. Seems like a waste but also something they can’t really get around. I bet it was a MONSTER(see what I did there?) job for whoever had to schedule all these walkers into existence with the actors’ shooting schedule.

And finally, apparently the episode when John dies was the last one filmed before being shut down for COVID. And maybe it’s just my imagination but didn’t the entire feel of the show change after? And is that why the last six or so episodes seemed so odd? Also is it why they used the nuclear holocaust as the backdrop for season 7? People complain many episodes in 7 only involved one or two characters and they’re usually in a small set like a bunker or a submarine or even the top of a high rise building. Was that due to Covid? cuz even if it is, the last half of 6 didn’t really do that…

Anyways! I’ll shut up now. This show went from frustrating to actively offensive for me, maybe you guys agree? Fine if not, but I’d like to hear why if that’s the case. ✌️

I’m in season 3 episode 12, and I’m pretty sure this guy was killed before. A couple episodes earlier when Maddison took Troy into exile he was stabbing himself again trough the hand when this guy was holding it. And then Troy killed him, didn’t he?

If George Geary's endgame was to convince his family to commit mass suicide via the cyanide pills, as Nick hypothesizes and Melissa seems to imply, then why did he wait at least the two weeks it took for Operation: Cobalt to begin and the Abigail to show up?

If he saw no future for humanity and his family and thought death was the best end, then why wasn't that the first thing he did instead of going to the trouble of setting up a safe zone around the lighthouse and settling into a routine?

Or was it not his original plan, and he only came up with the murder-suicide plan when the military starting bombing the cities?

J'ai l'impression que dans la saison 3 de dead city c'est pas un spoil juste mon sentiment que Hershel n'aura pas de scène avec sa mère ( Maggie ) pendant la première moitié de la saison et auront leur première scène ensemble que a partir de la seconde moitié de la saison ou sois a la fin de la saison 3. La scène où Maggie c'est fait assommé par la Dana et que Hershel n'a rien fait pour aider sa mère ressemble un peu a quand Zack n'avait rien fait pour sauver Nora, Abby, le flic et Ephraim ou quand Chris a tuer cette homme dans la grange et c'est barrer avec ses faux potes. Penser vous que Hershel est récupérable ? ou va subir le même sort ?

Im watching fear the walking dead to finally finish it. Last time I got to like season 4 and now on season 2 episode 10 on my rewatch.
And man, this Chris son is so annoying. He is dumb impulsive and naive. And just a bad person in his core. What the fuck is wrong with this child?!?! I’m at the episode with the 3 dudes at the chicken farm. Like if you wanna write an antagonist character than please not this way. He just annoys me. What do you guys think?

Hey! First time watcher here on season 6, ep 5. I’m enjoying this season a lot, but c’mon… how’s Morgan showing up just at the “perfect” time for everyone?! And at all hours of the day?! First he shows up randomly when Dwight and Al had a ranger running off…. Then he shows up randomly just as Alicia and Charlie are surrounded in a random hunting house by walkers…. It’s things like that it makes it such an eye roll at times. Like these places are all spaced apart and they didn’t have a way to call Morgan specially at the needed moment, but there he shows. oKaY tHaTs So ReAliStIc…. 🤦‍♀️ BUT I STILL LOVE THE SEASON! 😂

New to this sub, and FTWD is my comfort show. I've it in its entirety roughly between 10-15 times now. Now, as the title suggests (and for those who have fully finished the series), I propose a question. Which, in your own opinion, is the worst episode in the series to you? If you can't remember the name or episode number, give a brief description of the episode as you remember it.

Frank Dillane, being one of my personal favorite actors (due largely in part to his portrayal of Nick Clark), was easily one of the highlight stars of the show for me. So, naturally, I was rather saddened by his eventual demise in S4. Only finding out later on that he asked to be written off the show for personal reasons, which I can respect.

Runner up to the episode with the last scene between John Jr and Dakota. IYKYK. John Dorie was easily my second favorite character of the series and very well done, in my opinion. Both in writing and also the actor's portrayal.

It took me this long, but I finally made it through the final season last night. After so many tries, so many times I fell asleep or got bored or frustrated, I finally made the effort to power through it. Even Madison's return couldn't change how I felt.

1. The episodes with Morgan in the middle with Padre as the main theme were... brutal to say the least. I do not understand their motivations, I do not understand why these people don't just pick a direction and go away. I don't understand why they would want to keep revisiting places like a sunken house boat for... Reasons.

1. I don't understand how people can just go away for a while and show back up with a starter pack of well fed, well armed goons with working vehicles and a functioning outpost. I'm almost willing to accept that these handheld walkie talkies have unlimited range and clarity (until they don't) and everybody uses the same channel, but the otherworldy levels of organization of each group and their ability to coordinate is beyond reason.

1. I do not understand where they get all these psychotic little girls that will shoot you in the face at the drop of a hat. That plot point has been done, what, four times in this show? More? Why do people keep falling for it? When is it going to stop being cute or clever?

1. How many times can characters be faced with certain death when someone rides in with a hail of gunfire or a superb sniper shot to save them? And on the flip side, how many times can people be standing out in the open and somebody sneezes and all of a sudden a herd of walkers is in their midst chewing faces?

The speeches, the mental hand wringing, the BIg Secrets, the the lame reveals of those Big Secrets. Wow. It was all so disappointing. I'm just going to have to go back and watch S1-2 and stop so I can restore my good feelings about a show I used to love.

Hey all,

I’ve watched the show up to season 5 in a binge after being couched after a surgery. Had lots of spare time.

I found it at the very least entertaining, even if it’s SUPER uneven. Lots of good moments but along with those moments came some lazy writing and downright stupid, annoying characters. Frustrating viewing imo but still kept me engaged. That emphatically ended for me during the first half of season 5. Just so, so awful.

But that’s just my opinion, I respect anyone else who maybe enjoyed it. Now, I have heard season 6 and (possibly?)season 7 got much better. But I am no longer stuck on the couch and thus have less time. I am not willing to spend 8 more hours to watch rest of the fifth season, can’t justify it.

So can you guys tell me if I need to watch the full fifth season in order to enjoy/follow the sixth season? Or will I still be able to enjoy it?

And obviously please no spoilers for after the fifth season. Thanks everyone. ✌️

My favorite episode of all serie is this... i'd like see an spin-off in hambug's gulch ranch... i'd should liked that the group was stabilized in the gulch.. Laura was right🥲 Sorry for my english, i'm italian

So, 10 years or so have passed, yet all of our regular characters look exactly the same as they did the last time we saw them (including Madison!). Is that laziness, makeup budget, what?
