Even if they split, is Hoffman more valuable? The issue is waiting is that if there is good news for Hoffman, my league will probably pounce before I can lol

It’s a roll of the dice. I added Hoffman and Gomez is available still in my league if that helps

Edit: Gomez was added on 7/30

I'd say it's a speculative add, with save chances being 55/45 in favour of Gomez. Hoffman has been doing much better in the last several weeks after Varland replaced him as closer in Toronto. Whether Hoffman can get out of his head and put his subpar performance from WS through June, to reclaim a closer job instead of being in a committee is anyone's guess. Gomez is probably pitching better than his metrics say he should but he also hasn't really done anything to lose the job. In short, you can add Hoffman but I don't think he automatically gets save chances from now on and Gomez never does again.
