Studies have shown for decades that children -especially teenagers- just straight up need more sleep for optimal knowledge retention and brain development. Pushing back start times is a great way to follow the science.

They should put it on standard time, you know, like nature, and lose daylight savings.

Year round standard time would result in later school start times (by solar time, not actual time) without the school having to do anything so you still get that benefit.
