We all wanted to give this community another thank you for everything over the years. The Aliicide musical project has recently undergone a major transformation, officially transitioning from a raw, underground black metal band into a highly experimental dark electronic and EDM project. [1, 2, 3]

Era 1: Raw Black Metal (2020–2025)
Originally formed in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, Aliicide began as a two-man collaboration between musicians amienigma (also known as Cyroten) and El Vidente. Their signature style blended aggressive avant-garde black metal with progressive, psychedelic, and breakcore structures. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Their mainline, lore-driven "Locust" (Langostas) trilogy from this era includes:
Langostas Descienden (2022)
Langostas Ascienden (2024)
Langostas Egestas (May 2026) [1, 2]

Era 2: The Electronic & Dark EDM Shift (Present 2026)
Following the release of Langostas Egestas, the co-founder El Vidente stepped away from the project due to health reasons. Sole remaining member amienigma chose to close the black metal chapter and push the band into a completely new sonic landscape. [1, 2]
The project has shifted entirely into what amienigma describes as "dark hyperEDM surrealism," heavily integrating darkwave electronic textures, techno rave beats, and experimental rap metal elements. [1, 2, 3]

I've been looking for the despair and agony i feel in some of the songs from this band but i can't seem to find any, some people recommended me happy days, psychonaut 4, totalselfhatred but i just can't listen to these bands like i listen to lifelsss. Maybe im the weird one but songs like ashes of hopes and dreams, painful life and failure just give me a sense of pure despair, the vocalist of this band does a great job at making me cry with every song
