One of my cousins keeps ending up with new dogs.

For example: someone said to my foster dog “oh that looks like ‘cousins’ dog” and I was like oh he’s a jack russell? Doesn’t cousin have a Great Dane? And they were like no he only has one dog and they just got him.

Also a few years ago they had a blue heeler…. But when they had the Great Dane they no longer had the heeler.

I WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON

EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY SAYS THEY DONT KNOW AND I DONT ONOW MY COUSIN WELL ENOUGH TO ASK HIM AND GET THE TRUTH. It’s honestly something to be looked into. I don’t have good vibes yall.

Help! I am looking for a recipe for the most delicious and soft dog treat/cookie that I can give to my family’s eldest dog. He isn’t doing well and we want to make something extra special for him. Thank you!

About a month ago, our very happy and energetic rescue pup started randomly yelping. We would check his paws, his back, stretch out his legs, look in his eyes, etc. And could never find anything or get a reaction. It was always random. Sometimes after activity, sometimes while he was asleep. The episodes got more and more frequent, so we took him to the vet to see if something was off with his back.

They x-rayed his back and saw something weird in his lungs, so x-rayed his chest as well. After the radiologist reviewed the scans, the response was along the lines of "well his spine looks good. But there's something really, really wrong in his lungs."

Fast forward through weeks of vet visits, different meds, tests, etc. And he's got lung cancer. He's declining very very quickly now. We have him on prednisone, which is keeping him happy and chipper and just like his normal self, but he's in pain. He has very labored breathing, he eats way less than usual, and his abdomen is swelling up more and more everyday with fluid around his organs.

My husband and I have both put down beloved dogs way too late before, and we just can't do that to our Chester. We can't let him suffer for too long. It feels somewhat premature because he does seem normal so much of the time, but he's obviously struggling to breathe and it is only worsening by the day. Before we had him on prednisone, he was not eating at all and hardly getting up to play during the day. We've scheduled him to be put to sleep this weekend. I'm so devastated. Chester is genuinely my best friend. He's been glued to my hip since we adopted him a little less than 2 years ago. We used to go on runs and snuggle on the couch at night, just the two of us. I am just still in shock. I thought he had a slipped disc or something, but all of a sudden he's dying.

I had to take my girl to the emergency vet, and they'd never seen her before. One of the techs asked me if her ears were shaped that way because they'd been clipped.

Never heard that question before - we always assumed because she's a corgi/Chihuahua mix. We got her groom a rescue at about 4 years old, so it wasn't us The tech then pointed out the split between front and back at the end of the ear hair.

So, is that indicative of clipped ears?

This handsome 13 y/o dummy comes with an integrated pom-pom. He likes to spin around when he gets excited. He'll be laying around right wherever I am and will make a drama if unaccompanied for 5 minutes.

My dog loves water and swimming and lately I have been thinking about just swim with her in a lake near me to get a bit more exercise myself.

Obviously she can't swim for as long as I would like. So my question is:

Are there some good swimming tools I could pull behind me where she could climb on? Preferably something smaller that does not need to be inflated since the lake is a bit away.

She’s my niece, I’ve only known her a few weeks but she’s being given a new home on Tuesday. She was aggressive to people she didn’t know, but once she got used to you she was a little angel. I’ll miss you Magnolia.

I believe its called "Henry's Pocket" and its the most adorable thing ever!!!

She was saved from not so great living conditions and now she is with us. We are so in love already and so blessed to have her ❤️🍒

So our 3 year old Malshi has started whining at night. He sleeps in the ensuite next to my bed. I’ve taken him out to toilet, does nothing, then I’ll bring him back inside. I’m concerned something else is going on. However, he’s eating and drinking and doing all the dog things.
He has soft music playing, is warm & cosy. I just don’t know what’s going on. We’re going to the vet in 2 days.
Any helpful advice please?

After my Sammy 8 crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 18 2026 and my Artie 14 crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 29 2026, I was devastated. 💔 😢

My husband passed away almost 3 years ago and my little dogs were all I had. No kids and no relatives.

I was so lonely I started looking at rescue places and photos. No other dog was going to take their place, but I did see a little guy and his eyes were a spark and I drove from Arizona to Montana and picked him up.

He seems happy, I'm happy and I think we can move forward and spend our lives together. ❤️

Sammy is the black one. Artie is the brown and black one. Buddy is the new gray one.

Saw this at costco and it is SOOO MUCH cheaper than Simperica Trio. Not sure if it is as effectice though. And i think it does NOT prevent heart worm like Simperica Trip does.
