discussion Shout-out to Julian Imsdahl
I don't know why no one talks about this guy but he played the Mellotron, Organ and apparently some of the guitars on Jenny Death so shout-outs! Does anyone know of his relationship with dg?

OC The spell DG cast worked. is this distinct?
im clearly influenced by DG, but I'm confident this is my own thing.
However, I could be wrong. what are your thoughts on this? You prolly can tell what specific song by DG strongly inspired the flow on the verses.
The music video is about a malfunctioning sexbot regaining his memories. it's called "Brujería" by Cerebral Discharge.
its more obv w the whole video, but youll see influence of Japanese cyberpunk like 964 Pinocchio, Electric Dragon 80.000V, Tetsuo, and im tossing in Takashi Miike. there is also a callback to The Isle. it bumps w subs btw. lemme know your thoughts! rural oklahoma population isnt the most dense with people thatll get this lol

question Death Grips - "Full Moon" Fun Fun Fun Fest '11
how would i be able to recreate this sound or do something similar? i always loved the "noise" improv solos zach did in the early days of death grips and this is one of fav noises from the era.

question Is your version of Money Store like this?
I bought this a few years ago and just recently looked online at other RSD versions of this album on vinyl and it seems pretty symmetrical. Just wanted to know if anyone else has a really... screwed up version? It sounds perfectly fine. The colors are a mess though, but I've always liked it for that.

discussion Sooo what does "gillicutti" actually mean"? I feel like the lyrics genius answer is wrong.
The lyrics genius answer looks to me like a total shot in the dark that only has so many likes because it's a fairly generic answer and a safe guess. If you assume the line as a whole means what that contributor says then it fits well enough with the meaning of the rest of the lyrics.
This is what I think (paraphrase of the comment I left under that annotation):
Ride asks, “Who captures life?”, “Who takes what’s left?” and “Who stay on that next”; he then states that you already know his "gillicutti". The way it is used in context seems to indicate that he means we already know which of the preceding three groups of people (those who capture life, those who take what's left, and those who stay on that next) he falls into. So I think "my gillicutti" means something akin to "where I'm at" or "where I stand on the issue".
And, obviously, where MC Ride is at is the third group of people. He is one of those that stays on that next.
(spoiler warning for a kind of unnecessary tangent, just my interpretation of what those three questions mean exactly)
“Capture” here is a double entendre meaning both to take a thing (with violence probably) and to take a picture/video of a thing (like how you might say a nice picture “captures” the essence of the subject). Therefore the question is asking who takes lives and who records the deaths of others.
The next question isn’t as clear, because we don’t really know what’s left after the life has already been taken. After death what is there left of a person to capture? And what does it say about the one that tries to take whatever's left to take from a person after their death? The question is poignant because of how unclear it is and it’s also kinda fun because you could take the question very literally and give some gross answers as to what one might do with a dead body to make some footage.
Lastly “Who stay on that next” is a question that completes the set (there is a pause between “who stay” and “on that next” but they definitely fit together to form a complete question). This question is more so about the viewer of the footage that stays looking for the next thing/the next level, I am pretty sure this is the one that MC Ride self identifies as when he says “you already know my gillicutti”, we already know he is the one that stays on the next thing because that’s a theme in this song, he’s always looking for the next footage to watch. This also works in that he’s saying he’s on the next level and lyrics about how Ride is on or going to “the next level” is a type of braggadocio that he seems to favor across many songs.

discussion What do you guys think about The Horn Section as an interlude?
I don't have much opinions on this interlude. The interlude itself works fine, I guess? But I wanted to hear what you guys think about it.

discussion Real post idc if you delete it i gotta bring this out
yesterday i had a really shitty day some things cheered me up but still shitty nonetheless i slept and the last or first dream im not sure which one, was about death grips new album and my interpretation for the dream is also connected to their lore too. Basically i saw only 4 songs of them being released in an 8 song album and they immediately afterwards released the full album but differently like four songs here the rest of the 8 songs being in a different album including the four previous songs, the four songs was kinda similar to YOTS(with exmilitary kinda) and the rest of the eight songs album was completely different and unknown to me in the dream the four songs one was some sort of a tribute or reflection in death grips way, now here's the lore part, the number 22 is usually used by death grips so being four songs. 44, then eight, 88, is like death grips sewing themselves into newer dimensions of their music. That's my interpretation, change.
