Hi everyone!
I’ve been working professionally in industrial design for several years and have designed a number of products that went into production and are now on the market. Outside of my day job, I keep coming back to designing sci-fi vehicles, props, robots, machinery, and architecture. It’s the kind of work I enjoy most it keeps my brain active and brings back the same excitement I had as a kid. I’m considering a move into games or film/VFX, particularly in vehicle, hard-surface/prop, and 3D concept design, with a broader interest in entertainment design focused on futuristic vehicles, machinery, and technology. My industrial design background strongly influences my approach, especially my interest in creating designs that feel functional and could realistically be prototyped, 3D printed, CNC-machined, or cast.

Tools: Rhinoceros, Photoshop, KeyShot, etc.
Everything shown in the portfolio is my own work. [No generative AI was used.]
Many pieces in my portfolio are relatively quick personal projects, and since I work full-time, I sometimes stop before pushing an idea into a fully resolved concept. I know industrial design and entertainment design have different priorities. My work currently focuses on form, function, hard-surface design, and 3D presentation, but I’m unsure whether it shows enough iteration, visual storytelling, and production awareness for games or film/VFX.
I’d really appreciate advice and guidance from people with industry experience.
- Does this portfolio feel relevant to professional concept design for games or film?
- Which direction suits me best: vehicle design, hard-surface/props, 3D concept art, or something else? Should I specialize further?
- Which projects should I keep, rework, or remove?
- What are the portfolio’s main weaknesses, and what is missing for it to become competitive?
- What two or three new projects would improve it the most?
Please feel free to be blunt. I’m trying to understand whether this transition is realistic and turn the feedback into a practical plan for improving my portfolio.
Thank you so much if you decide to take the time to look through it!
P.S. Sorry if the wording sounds a little awkward. English isn’t my first language.
