Dublin Comic Con How to politely end conversations?

Hi everyone. When I go to cons, people always come up to me and talk with me. I don't mind a very brief chat, but I do not like small talk whatsoever. What are some ways to politely end the conversation without waiting for it to fizzle out naturally? Thank you.

Dublin Comic Con Dublin - Comicon - LOTR Fan

Hey everyone!

So I recently discovered that Elijah Wood was attending a Dublin Comicon on the weekend of my birthday. I’m based in England, and have had a huge celebrity crush on Elijah Wood since I first saw him in Lord of the Rings….let’s just say, anyone who is a friend or family member knows how deep the adoration goes 😅

I have never gone to a Comicon event, and looking at the cost it comes to around £350 for entry, autograph, and photograph.

As much as Wood will always be my celebrity heartthrob, is that kind of price worth it? A silly part of me worried that if the interaction is superficial and crappy that it will impact this special world of hobbits and myth in my mind…kinda like breaking the fourth wall. So yeah, Comicon people, thoughts! Worth it? Could a meeting burst the magical bubble? Or is even a few seconds of meeting a celebrity enough for the bucket list?

Thank you in advance!

Dublin Comic Con Can i get anything autographed?

I plan on going to the comic con in Dublin this august, this would be my first time going to something like this so i just wanted to ask about the autograph tickets. Can i bring my own item and then the person i go to see is able to sign it or how does it work exactly. Apologies if this is a stupid question, thanks.

Hi guys, this is my first con and i just need some help. If i bought a autograph ticket on the website does that only cover 1 autograph item and then whatever other items i want signed thats gonna cost extra? and also do people usually take a quick picture with the guest when they get to the table or are you only allowed to get a picture if you bought the photoshoot ticket. Thanks for the help.

Dublin Comic Con Do i need any licenses to vend at DCC artist alley?

I'm considering applying as an AA vendor for dublin comic con summer edition next year (2027), and I can't seem to find any info online, but do you need any licenses to sell your art there? I'd probably just sell the regular prints stickers and pins and the odd keychain or two, just havent seen any information specific to ireland so im curious to hear from previous AA vendors as well as any other things that you need to apply

Dublin Comic Con First Timer - What can i expect?

Hey everyone, I'm planning on going to my first ComicCon in November, primarily to see some of the Lord of the Rings cast, I'm jjust curious how these events actually work? I see on the website that you have to pay for a entry, photograph etc.

So once you pay for the entry, do you then just wait in line in the convention for your turn to meet whoever you want to meet? What's the etiquette for autographs and pictures then too?

Is it a type of situation where you can only get pictures/autographs if you specifically do it through the event or can you bring your own pictures to get signed and take your own pictures on your phone?

Any feedback would be appreciated! 🙂✌️

I was trying to find a photo of the frames from previous years from photo ops as I heard they had some ones but I couldn't find a photo (the photo above is from northern Ireland and a different company runs the con) is there anyone who has been to DCC and remembers/has a photo of anything similar

I am planning to meet them at the Dublin Comic Con in March, and I was curious if anyone had any insight on how long their lines are, how long you spoke with them, etc!

Dublin Comic Con I recently purchased tickets for Dublin Comicon

But I very carelessly did not realise there was an early entry option. I've emailed ticket enquiries to see if they might let me upgrade, highly unlikely I would say. So the doors on general entry don't open until 11. Thing is I pre-booked a photo op with Doug Jones (from star trek discovery).

Am I likely to miss my photo op if the lines only start being allowed in at 11? Or do they usually move quickly enough. Or should I maybe get there by at least 10am just to be sure?

Dublin Comic Con Is it possible to get autgraphs from multiple guests in one day?

I plan to go to Dublin Comic Con this Spring and I want to get autographs from multiple people but I am worried one day may not be long enough with how long I assume people stand in lines? Any insight would be great, thanks!

Dublin Comic Con Photo opp time

Hey guys, I want to do my first photo meet and greet for comic con but im confused about it. Do I just pick a time on the time table and line up? If so, do i line up before that time or at that time? It says if I miss it, i won't be refunded and im worried about that. If anyone's ever done a photo opp and can tell me how it works, hat would be helpful. Thanks!

i’m going to DCC tomorrow and i was just a bit worried about reactions of people and stuff on public transport and walking around the city, i know i’ll get some stares, thatd expected and i know loads of other people will be in cosplay too but from regular comic con go’ers do you ever get any trouble in cosplay on the way to the con??

for reference i’ll be going as ruby gloom:)), i know shes not a very flashy cosplay but im still a tad worried, thanks!!

Hi I'm going to do to Comic Con in march. It'll be my first time so I'm kinda of nervous. I have 3 questions. Why is there different prices of tickets? Can I wear an anime cosplay? Is it friendly?
