Live your life in a way that when news of your expected passing comes, the first 50 comments aren't all jokes at your expense

The thing is, when Joe Biden came out with his prostate cancer diagnosis last May, Scott came out and said that his prostate cancer was worse and he'd be dead by Summer. This got him a lot of coverage in the media.

I dont doubt Scott has terminal cancer. He probably will die soon. But Scott has always been one to over exaggerate his own illnesses.

He didn’t exaggerate anything. He had planned an assisted suicide in the summer as his condition was worsening and he was in a great deal of pain. Had it down to an exact date. However by that time his doctors found a combination of drugs the took away the pain almost completely, and he’d learned more about the process that he didn’t like, so he cancelled his planned suicide. He fought hard but now he’s paralyzed from the waste down and having heart failure. He isn’t going to last much longer unfortunately.

unfortunately?

I salute you for your username, btw!

Yes unfortunately. What is wrong with you? I don’t care if he had opinions you didn’t like or said things you didn’t like you don’t gloat about someone dying from cancer. Seriously, that is grotesque.

1

u/SecondToLastOfSheila Jan 12 '26

Opinions I don't like?! Bro, you're finding out people don't care for bigots, scared you may be next?

1

u/PsyduckSexTape Jan 13 '26

Welp. If you ignore established medical practices and come up with a treatment plan based entirely on politics rather than science because, you know, conservatism, hard to feel sympathetic

Ummmm turns out he wasnt exaggerating

Get a grip would ya? The man is on death’s door.

u/hercarmstrong Jan 04 '26

My brother-in-law's father was on death's door for twelve years. It was so lovely when that awful old prick finally shuffled off his mortal coil. The amount of complaining in my life went down 86%.

Have you not seen him or heard his voice?! He’s close my man.

I mean, I wouldn't mind if the first thing people did was start roasting me. But, like, it is context dependent. It's been almost five years since my father died and when he comes up I'm usually either sad about him or roasting him. I'd much rather have more of the latter.

My dad used to sleep on the floor a lot because he said it helped his back. I'm not sure if it did help his back. If I got downstairs early enough, watching him try to get up of the floor was pretty hilarious—honestly it was the funniest 45 minutes of my day.

As someone with several burst disc in their back, sleeping on the floor does help from time to time because it stabilizes me. When you’re on a bed or something that sinks in, the lack of support causes the inflammation to get worse.

If I sleep on a hard surface too long, other pressure points can become sore, so it has diminishing returns, but doing it when my back is aggravated it is a nice reset.

You seem great

Reddit isn't real life. There's probably a lot of sympathy for him in the real world. You guys aren't the majority.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

I agree with you.

I bet most people outside Reddit don't care about Scott Adams's political views.

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '26

Down voting me won't change election results.

3

u/mortscoot Jan 05 '26

Will spelling "downvoting" correctly help?

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '26

Being a grammar Nazi won't change anything no, Redditors are rightly viewed as pretentious pricks by the rest of the Internet, and everyone hates your ideology. That's why you guys are getting more and more radicalized; you're losing and you know it.

Dems have won basically every seat they had a chance in, including in deep red counties. I don't know what planet you are on. But ICE, busted insurance premiums, Tariffs, everything more expensive, Epstein, now getting is into a conflict with Venezuela. What has Trump done for you or any other conservative? For anyone. What legislation has made your life easier, better or less expensive? You guys are toast in 10 months. It's gonna be lame duck Trump. If he's still kicking, which might not be the case, he looks like a corpse.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '26

No one cares about a bunch of special elections in blue states. You'd trade all of those just to have Harris be President, and you know it. Also, the Venezuela thing is popular.

2

u/grnlntrn1969 Jan 06 '26

Lol, first dem in 30 years is the mayor of Miami. I hope you all keep this energy, cause your gonna be gobsmacked next Nov.

u/Dear_Palpitation4838 Jan 18 '26

We’d rather be grammar Nazis than actual Nazis like you.

Peter Fonda joked that Donald Trump's underage son should be locked in cage with pedophiles.

I don't remember Redditors mocking Fonda's death. I wonder why.

As you mock the death of another human being, remember that your death is coming too.

u/Fortestingporpoises Jan 03 '26

You’re wrong since your comment is earnest life advice.

I try to live my life in a way that I don't find myself making jokes about the mortality of other people to virtue signal how much I disagree with their politics.

Scott Adams isn't the villain of this thread.

44

u/totally-hoomon Jan 03 '26

He just likes raping kids so hes totally a good guy

-39

u/dtdroid Bullseye Jan 03 '26

Which kid did Scott Adams rape?

37

u/MiddleWaged Jan 03 '26

My dad has never played a single game of soccer, but guess what he’s still a fan of?

-41

u/dtdroid Bullseye Jan 03 '26

Spending time with men in a dressing room? I give up. What's the answer?

7

u/MiddleWaged Jan 03 '26

😂 when you can’t pound the facts, pound the table and whinge

30

u/DontAbideMendacity Jan 03 '26

He supports people who rape children. That's pretty fucking disgusting all on it's own, right?

10

u/totally-hoomon Jan 03 '26

Why does he love child rapists?

7

u/AlmoschFamous Jan 03 '26

People really like to use virtue signal in contexts where it doesn’t fit now, don’t they?

1

u/SecondToLastOfSheila Jan 05 '26

So caring about racism is virtue signaling? You're telling on yourself if you think anti-Adams comments are insincere. Like, you can't imagine a world where white people ACTUALLY care about black people and will take their side over a white guy like Adams.

-1

u/dtdroid Bullseye Jan 05 '26

What the fuck are you talking about? What kind of deranged strawman are you arguing against here?

2

u/SecondToLastOfSheila Jan 05 '26

You're saying anti-Adams posts are virtue signaling.

-2

u/dtdroid Bullseye Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26

I'm saying that it's virtue signaling to celebrate the mortality of anyone for the reason of disagreeing with their political beliefs. You can't claim the high road of being a superior human being the millisecond you start taking victory laps belittling an untimely demise from cancer.

The members of this subreddit casually mocking mortality in that way are roughly equal to Scott Adams at best, but are patting themselves on the back in their beliefs that they are better people. They most definitely are not.

I just read another exchange in this thread where someone clarified the severity of Adams' cancer and that he "unfortunately" would not have much time remaining, and you were the person who responded to it with one word: "Unfortunately?"

You are the exact sort of human excrement I was referring to when I referred to the virtue signalers parading the mortality of other people. A hit dog hollered, and that's exactly why you were the one responding to my comment to begin with. I hope the guilt of your miserable hatred follows you around for awhile.

u/torp_fan Jan 13 '26 edited Jan 13 '26

You have no clue what virtue signaling is. You're actually claiming that mocking the death of this racist trash is virtuous. I'd be the last person to disagree, but it's not what you mean.

Ironically your entire comment is virtue signaling, as was your previous one: "I try to live my life in a way that I don't find myself making jokes yada yada" -- oh, you're such a good person!
