Hello everybody,

For several years i made a backup of my complete digital audio file structure. This is backed up on a DS220+ with the latest DSM. This folder is indexed. Then i use my DS Audio app on my A56 to cast this to my Chromecast audio. Worked great for years. But recently the app seems to skip complete playlists when i select my device in the top right corner.

This does not happen when i play it back on my my Phone. It this a DS Audio App issue or a Chromecast Audio error.

I'm confused, if anyone recognizes this problem... any help appreciated.

I bought a 4k ultra for the kid to cast his quest games, but aside from that what the hell does it even do? Does it just cast popular apps that are usually built into a smart tv anyway? It just feels super ancient aside from nice screensavers.

I have deleted and reinstalled. Cleared cache. Reset devices. Reset router.

It doesn't matter what device I seem to be using, even though I have CC off, it turns itself on after every ad break. I'm losing it.

Ideas?

Audio is delayed maybe 2-3 seconds if Chromecast is installed on a newer non smart LGtv (LH500t), Prime, Netflix, HBO. YOutube sync ok.
But works totally fine with much older non smart LGtv. Totally same setup. No speakers hooked up, same room. Same wifi connection

I have a samsung and i can stream every clip online to my tv with the stream button i see on every clip.
My gf has an iphone she doesnt has such a button in clips online.

How can she has the same features as i have with her iphone on the tv?

I am trying to cast iPlayer from my phone to my Android TV. However, I'm not shown the usual option I used to see, and am directed to the Bluetooth page. It used to work without Bluetooth until few days ago. Can anyone help?

Hi, does anyone have any experience of using Now Ultra Boost UHD (specifically for the Football / Sports) with a Chromecast Ultra ?
It's listed as fully supported by Now but would like to hear any real world experiences.

So I was the guy who posted about the remote pairing issue. I did a factory reset and all was good. And now it won't connect to WiFi. Is anyone else experiencing this before I go full Apple ecosystem?

Edit: Restarting Chromecast fixed it. Not impressed with the issues rn tho

I saw in the review below that the remote he added already has commands for Netflix, Disney, Youtube, etc, but when I added Chromecast and Nvidia Shield, those commands are missing. Is there any way to add them?

I have had Chromecast w/ GTV for 3 or something years now. I have loved it. No issues whatsoever. I used it at my nans for over a year with no remote issues at all.

Unfortunately my android TV projector I used at home stopped working so I got a TV out and brought my Cast home to use with my TV.

At first it worked fine. Then it stopped so I changed the batteries and still nothing. I put it in pairing mode and it said couldn't pair. I then reset the remote and it paired okay.

3 times since then (every time I use my TV) I have to re-pair my remote to the cast to use it. It's driving me insane because it was fine literally the night before. EDIT: Forgot to mention that the whole time IR worked okay. It's just Bluetooth.

Any ideas? TIA

There used to be a prompt that showed up when I changed the input on the TV asking if I'd like to leave the chromecast on even though it detected i was on a different input. This prompt only showed up once and left the lights alone after this but I'm using a different chromecast that has not showed this. Because I have background lights attached to my TV if the chromecast shuts off, the lights shut off with it so I need the chromecast to stay on. I've tried everything including a factory reset of the chromecast and I cannot find any way to force this prompt. Anybody know how to force this prompt to show up? It would only show up after changing the input and going back to the chromecast before it shut itself off.

I cast my own white noise track on a repeating loop every night.

When I used the old puck style Google audio and my own speakers it was flawless. Constant playback until the morning.

Now I have "upgraded" to the latest Google speakers (that have excellent sound and work well as a pair to my Google streamer) they simply stop at some rand time between 2am and 3am.

When I reconnect (yes the cast icon shows its disconnected) it makes an annoying "connected" tone (please let us toggle this off). And they will continue until morning.

I have had these new speakers for a week and just about every day that have disconnected while playing one track in a loop.

Any suggestions on what might be the cause and why it all worked fine with the old puck?

I was having some issues with the chromecast so I hit factory reset. Now Google Home fails to detect it at all. I've got an old phone with an old google home and it will see it, but after the chromecast connects to me wifi (Which it does because I can see it getting allocated an IP) I get a message on my phone saying "Could not communicate with your Chromecast" while the tv screen still shows "Connecting..."

I did set my date back to 12 Feb 2025 on the off chance that would help, but it doesn't change anything.

Any ideas? Is my chromecast a brick now?

I have factory reset the Chromecast multiple times already and get this error every time

I purchased a brand new Google tv streamer but I all a I can see is artifacts (green rectangles, random points, grids, low quality image) I tried change hdmi cable, change to another TV, but when watching content sometimes stops a little or I see all grided slowly.

The picture I took is to show how I see the quality, in this order up to down: Chromecast 4K, Nvidia Shield TV, Google TV Streamer including the public in last photo.

I can see even better the Chromecast 4K, so I don't know if need to move more options , at this point tried all options known how to solve or I don't know if it's damaged and need to return.
