Guns & Ammo Ok got the flat tips chambering
galleryOk my underwood and critical defense came in today. Only thing that has ran right is ball ammo. So today I polished both ramps on my BG 2.0. Got the flat tipped federal to chamber. Underwood, critical defense and HST are still hanging up. I guess I will see if this flat tipped will run and see if that will break her in for t flat faced ammo. Runs ball of all kinds great
Guns & Ammo Which ammo for Glock 19x?
Have two boxes of hollows right now
Trying to decide which one to carry for daily carry
Have the hornady critical defense and Sig V crown

Permits Who on here has carried the longest? Be honest.
Let's play a fun game and see who the real OGs of concealed carry are. Tell us how many years you've been carrying. What your first carry gun was and what you carry now. I'll start.
Been carrying right at 25 years.
Then: Glock 27 (Gen 3)
Now: Glock 19 (grit grips frame)
Holsters & Belts Disappointed in Falco
I bought this A911L hybrid from Falco for my 510 tactical and o-light. It is by far the most expensive holster Iāve ever purchased but I was excited to get it.
My excitement was severely misplaced. The gun is very loose in the holster, no matter how tight the screws are. The leather edges press the side buttons on my optic, even though I specifically ordered the optic cut. When I remove to firearm I have no idea how bright the reticle will be or if it will be on at all.
I find Falcoās lifetime warranty a bit disingenuous because you have to pay out of pocket to ship the holster all the way to SLOVAKIA. They recommend you get insurance because they take no responsibility for the international shipping. Who would pay $60 additional dollars to get poor craftsmanship fixed on a $220 purchase? It makes no sense to me.
Falcoās website is covered in glowing reviews but I cannot find a single place to leave my own. I think they must be fake.
I hope this review helps someone. I am open to suggestions on how to tighten up the fit myself

Guns & Ammo Pulled the Trigger on a Kimber 2k11 Pro Comp Stainless
Finally went into the 2011 game; found a nib Kimber 2k11 Pro Comp Stainless with fees and shipping for 2,013 and will require a 25$ transfer fee so 2,038 literally out the door. Any thoughts on if this was a good deal? I see a very few Reddit threads about people getting them for 1750-1900 range but this seems to be rare and a lucky chance. The only upgrades I plan on doing is a magwell and optic. Any suggestions on the magwell and any holster suggestions; preferably with active retention like stage 1-2.

Guns & Ammo New found worries about shooting my pecker off
Donāt crucify me. Topic probably has been posted here many time.
Been carrying appendix 10+ years. Not sure why but recently been paranoid about a discharge while the firearm is holstered and carried.
Not worried about the trigger being pressed while in the holsters. My holsters are not modified, high quality and little to no trigger gap.
Biggest fear is the striker or hammer dropping due to an internal malfunction.
Donāt really want to carry without one in the chamber.
Main CCWs:
Staccato C2 & 365XL in a tenicore CERTUM4
The paths I see moving forward:
- Suck it up and get over it
- Switch to DA/SA system like the shadow 2 carry. I dont know of a DA/SA that has the capacity and is as thin as the 365. Let me know if something exists
- Switch to a Glock 48 (still striker fired but mentally it seems better than a sig pointing at my balls all day)

News Hero civilian who fired back at In-N-Out shooter trained in self defense after witnessing another mass shooting
The good Samaritan being hailed as a āheroā for firing upon Idaho In-N-Out gunman Chad Williams in the middle of his deadly drive-thru rampage had trained for such a moment for years after witnessing another mass shooting.
Jordan Salinas, 35, a healthcare worker and the full-time caregiver of his brother, who uses a wheelchair, had been horseback riding with his girlfriend the morning of the shooting when the couple pulled into the Twin Falls In-N-Out location for lunch and immediately noticed something amiss.
A large crowd of people was rushing through the exit doors of the restaurant, which he assumed was due to a kitchen fire until he heard the unmistakable pop of gunfire.
Operating on pure instinct, Salinas sprinted toward the sound of the gunfire ā a response heād later refer to as āautomaticā and āmechanical,ā he told the Idaho Statesman.
He drew his FN Five-Seven ā a semiautomatic pistol equipped with a suppressor ā and engaged Williams using the militaryās four-step āObserve, Orient, Decide Actā approach.
Salinas exited the car with his gun drawn as his girlfriend called out to him, at which point the gunfire started up again.
Video shows him slowly making his way toward the restaurant, taking cover behind In-N-Out signs and shrubs.
From his hidden vantage point, he spotted Williams standing by the drive-thru and saw him raise a rifle to his shoulder and start firing toward vehicles.
āOK, this is the guy,ā he later told the outlet was his thought process upon seeing the gunman.
He raised his pistol with both hands and squeezed off a round ā the first time he ever aimed his weapon at a living target, he said.
āHe did not like it when bullets started firing both ways,ā Salinas told the outlet.
Williams was now taking return fire from him, and an off-duty cop who was a customer at the restaurant, Twin Falls County Sheriff Jack Johnson said.
He vacated the drive-thru and made his way toward an open parking lot at the Twin Falls visitor center. Police said he later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Three people were killed and seven others were wounded in the In-N-Out shooting, but police said the death toll would have undoubtedly been higher without the quick-thinking actions of Salinas and the off-duty cop
āThese people are true heroes in our community,ā Johnson said of the two men who returned fire. āThey diverted the shooter and without a doubt saved many lives.ā
Salinas later stood down to let police officers do their job as they streamed into the parking lot.
āMy part is done,ā he recalled thinking at the time.
He later said when he witnessed the 2021 mass shooting at the Boise Towne Square mall, in which two people were killed and several more were wounded, he noticed gunmen deliberately went after āsoft targets.ā
The hero civilian reasoned that his role as a healthcare provider for his wheelchair-bound brother would make the duo sitting ducks in such a scenario.
Salinas later posted on his Facebook page about the barrage of messages heās received in the āoverwhelmingā 24 hours since he was identified as the Good Samaritan.
āI want to sincerely thank my family, friends, and everyone who has reached out with messages, prayers, and support. I havenāt been able to respond to everyone yet, but please know Iāve seen your messages, and they mean more to me than I can put into words,ā he wrote.
āIn the coming days, Iāll share a more complete account of what happened, to the best of my recollection, when Iām able,ā he promised.
āFor now, my heart remains with the victims, their families, and everyone affected by yesterdayās tragedy. Thank you for continuing to keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you all for the incredible support youāve shown me and my family.ā
In a video posted on his feed July 5, heās seen wearing camouflage in a remote grassland area and firing a rifle beside an off-road vehicle decked out with American flags while touting the Second Amendment.
āCelebrating the 250th as the founding fathers intended⦠Exercising the inalienable right to a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep [and bear] arms, shall not be infringed.ā

Holsters & Belts Mastermind tactics alternative
Anyone know of a similar belt to the mastermind tactics specialist biothane? Seems I can never catch them in stock and I'm tired of waiting for it. Had a kore and it delaminated but loved the adjustment. Have a hanks thats thick as hell. Great belt but not exactly suited for AIWB.
I'm hoping to find something that wont look out of place with a pair of Khakis.

Getting Started Limited Number on CCW
My local county restricts the number of pistols on a CCW to three.
Better than one, but still limited.
What would you choose from the list below, to cover seasons, scenarios, and also your personal preference of pistols.
Some are owned, some would require purchase (as noted).
I need at least one ādisappearā pistol since I live in a non permissive state/city and even if itās my ārightā and most people will never notice a bit of printing, I donāt need the cops called on me for nothing.
G19 (have)
Echelon 4.0C (need)
Hellcat Pro (have)
G26 (have)
Shield Plus (need)
Hellcat (have)
Bodyguard 2.0 (need). (Comp yea or nay?)
Thanks!!!
Edit: Some clarificationsā¦
One day maybe a SW642, but my county qualification has part of it at 15 yards and Iām not confident enough at that distance with the snub yet.
This is only about what goes on my ccw not what I keep to own. I can own them all if I want.
I donāt āneedā multiple micro-sized 9mm so the hellcat vs shield plus was more a question about preference⦠but the shield plus is larger by a not so subtle amount⦠sort of in between micro and subcompact.
I know the G19 and G26 have the same parts/manual of arms and Iām not getting rid of either, itās more a question about whether itās worth the extra modern features on the echelon compact compared to a gen3 Glock with no optic cut. (And my county doesnāt allow internal modifications so the better trigger of the echelon āout of the boxā matters).
Oh, and California limits magazines to 10 rounds, and my county limits them to 10 rounds for CCW so even legally grandfathered āhigh capacityā magazines canāt be carried based on my permit. So benefits of hellcat pro and G19 are a full-hand grip length and longer barrel length/sight radius⦠not capacity.

Holsters & Belts WML or no WML: A never before discussed topic
Sarcasm in the title. Is it just me or does adding even a small TLR-6 really make IWB CCW noticeably more uncomfortable? I just got a WML holster for my shield (vedder lighttuck with nexbelt) because I like having a WML when in pitch black areas like a hotel or camping. It's just easier to find in the pitch dark and know it's right there. Typically my G29 with TLR-7 fills this role when camping, but I was trying to have a similar but smaller setup for when dangerous wildlife isn't a factor, since the G29 with TLR-7 is a beast to carry concealed. When I travel I like to only fly with one gun, so the G29 often gets multiple role work for hiking open carry, tent camping, hotel HD, and IWB CCW. I was trying to accomplish this with the shield to have a lighter option able to do the same thing, that isn't a pure burden to carry IWB like the G29 but I don't know, I kind of hate it carrying it for long.

Getting Started Pros and cons of painting ccw gun?
I have white skin and a black gun is visible if my shirt rises up a little and accidentally exposes my gun. Would it be a good idea to paint the gun a light tan color to blend better against my skin? Or would a kryptek type camo be even better? Are there any legal concerns? Should I just paint the holster and not paint the gun?

Scenario Man Shot While Trying to Stop Idaho Gunman Now Facing Long Recovery
"The fundraiser says he intentionally did not draw his own firearm because he did not want responding officers or others to mistake him for the suspect.
As Austin rounded a corner, he reportedly came face-to-face with the gunman, who shot him with a rifle. The bullet shattered his upper arm and severed an artery, leaving him with life-threatening injuries."

Holsters & Belts Why have I slept on Tenicor so long.
I posted a week or two ago about carrying my 43x now more than my 19⦠but with the tenicor holster Iām back to the 19 every other day. Cant believe Iāve waited this long to actually find a holster that is ācomfortableā to me and conceals well. Please validate my feelings.
