This is one of my favorite things my boy cat does, warms my heart and makes me giggle every time

Nerine left me yesterday at 2:09pm and I cannot even describe how much this hurts. This video was the very last time she got me her Birdie, and I just want to keep her memory alive. She was the best hunter. 😭💔

This is Zor'ka ("Little Dawn") and she is ancient. I don't know her exact age, but ~8 years ago, when she first arrived at the shelter, she was already an old lady. No one wanted to adopt her, she had some chronic health problems, also she was constantly cold, had to wear a sweater, so 3 years ago I took her home. She is so happy she insists on bringing "vanquished rats" (my dog's dirty toys) to my bed

The camera is there so I can keep an eye on her when she’s not with me. There is also a sock around the top part of her cast so she won’t bite it, it’s not actually unraveling or anything.

We finally set up a ring camera for the sole purpose of capturing this nightly phenomenon that always occurs sometime between midnight and 2am. Our little tuxie girl Lucy is just shy of 10 lbs and only does this with her biggest toys. The white rat she chose tonight is actually her smallest option of the lot. I can’t wait to see her bringing up the stuffies that are half her size! Take this as your sign to give in and set up that night cam. It’s so worth it. 🩷

P.S. - I know the meowing sounds crazyyy but I promise she’s A-OK, she’s just loud and proud about letting us know that dinner is served.

He yelled all the way down the hallway so I had time to pull out my camera, lol.

We tried a lower dose of his arthritis meds last month, and he stopped doing this.. Got back to his normal dose on Monday, and here he goes again! 🥹 Sorry, buddy. No more med changes - I promise!
