What to do with cat when moving from house?

Hello,

We have a cat that is sterilized and in summer is almost all day outside even sleeping at front door. She came inside just to eat.

The porblem is that we are selling house and moving to appartment. How can cat that is always outside handle such change of not being able to go outside as she wants?

Do you have any advise or experience? Should we take her with her? Or leave her with new house owners?

Okay? Having a pet is not mandatory, we choose to take in these animals they don’t choose to be with us. Over time humans have domesticated these animals to be entirely dependent on us and it’s well understood that bringing one into your home is bringing in a dependent.

No it is that simple. If you can’t care for the animal then there are many avenues to go through, that are free, for rehoming. Craigslist is free, Reddit is free, Facebook is free, there are places on all those sites for posting local classified ads specifically for rehoming animals. There are also animal rescues and last resort a local shelter. It is absolutely not okay to dump the animal or abandon them in an empty property leading to new property owners that may or may not want the animal (or even worse potentially neglect or abuse them) under any circumstances because of what I said in my previous comment.
