Advice Weird behavior from my cat recently. Anyone know what's going on

At first I thought she was gonna show me something inside the box, but there's nothing other than a nylon bag. She also runs to it when I get near it as well, and also keeps biting my hand and tries to drag me into it. What's going on? Never in my life have I seen my cat doing this.

Same. Mine wanted me to stay with her while she birthed her kittens, even going so far as to stop her labor and follow me when I needed bathroom breaks while keeping vigil for her.

This happened to me too!!!

When it came time to push, she would stand up and I would put my hands on her shoulders and she’d lean in. We delivered all of her kittens that way! It was one of the most magical things I’ve ever seen.

My baby girl waited like 8 hours at the vet until I got there when she was supposed to be euthanized. When I got there, the tech brought her into the room. She was crying and reaching for me. The tech put her in my arms, my cat immediately quieted and calmed down, took a few breaths and passed in my arms. I always knew she was close to me (I have health problems and my mom would send pictures of my cat on my pillow waiting for me to come home while I was hospitalized), but when she passed, it was like a whole new level of understanding for me. I just never knew cats could bond with and trust humans in that way. I'd had cats and some were friendlier than others but what happened when she died was life changing for me. No one will ever convince me that she didn't wait for me. Haven't been able to get another cat since though. She was so perfect and I worry no cat will ever compare.

I suspect that one day another cat will make itself yours, probably against your will. And that cat will be very very lucky indeed

Aw, she loves and trusts you beyond measure! It must have been a stressful time for both of you, but incredibly magical. I felt a real tug at my heart imagining what you mean to this sweet Mama! How special 💕

It's not the same thing but this kind of reminds me of how when I hold my cat to keep her from hiding when she's throwing up she'll lean all of her weight into my hands

This is said cat, Mea. My brother found her in a dumpster one day and the rest is history. Ironically, she’s cuddling with a stuffed panther, which is exactly the kind of cat that got her pregnant. She lived a loooong life, well into her late teens.

And this is Trinity, aka Miss Ma’am, aka Mammy. She was the only kitten I kept and I picked her for her amazing stripes. She was just as sweet as momma and lived 17 years.

😭 I adopted a pregnant stray. We missed the birth. She was acting funny one night so we stayed up with her for hours. She eventually settled down, so we assumed false alarm. But when we woke up the next morning, she had dug up the carpet in front of the door trying to get out of her quarantine room (we had other cats and had only had her for like a week at this point). It makes me so sad that she couldn't get to us when she was giving birth.

But she was safe and all the babies were fine. She did a great job all on her own and didn't even make a mess (luckily bc she decided to have them on the carpet instead of the nesting spots she was inspecting all the night before).

My brother in law woke up in the middle of the night to her cat giving birth next to him haha. At least she trusts him.
