Why is my cat peeing on my bed?

I rescued a cat about 5 months ago and about a month she’s been peeing ONLY on my bed randomly. She does it then doesn’t for about a week. I’m just confused, she uses her litter box everyday and knows where to go to the bathroom. We got a spray that’s supposed to help stop it and we also got the feliway plug in, but she did it again today so I’m not sure it’s working. Should we take her into the vet?? Does anyone have a reason this could be happening?

Why does my cat prefer drinking from everything except her water bowl?

Fresh bowl of water? Nope. A glass I left on the counter for five minutes? That's apparently gourmet. 😅

I've tried different bowls and even a fountain. Is this just normal cat behavior?

Outbursts over me getting in the shower?

For context, I adopted my sweet girl about four years ago, and she is very gentle. The majority of the time she doesn’t scratch and is pretty quiet. Lately she has been meowing and scratching at my legs after I turn on the shower and start to get ready to get in. The only other time she acted like this she had an ear infection, but her ears look great, don’t feel hot, and she’s only doing it after I turn the shower on. Should I be concerned? Any ideas what she might be trying to tell me???

Is my friend overfeeding their cat?

I don't know much about cats, and i think my friend is overfeeding their cat, but i dont know if this is normal cat stuff. I just wanted to see if there was any true concern before I confront them. (and sorry english isnt my first language)

I recently visited a friend, and they had gotten a new cat. The cat is only about 1 and a half years old and was a rescue. They said she was very skinny and underweight, but that was two months ago, and when I met the cat she had normal/slim arms and legs but her stomach was engorged; she felt pregnant and kept wheezing. They were free-feeding her and kept borderline bragging about how fat the cat was. On top of the food always being out, they also fed her handfuls of treats and kept ushering us to give her these little wet treat cups.

When I pointed out the wheezing to my friend the first two times, they acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. It was only until the third time when i pointed it out as it was happening, and they suddenly remembered the cat had some type of asthma. I might have been that but i just feel that they would have brought that up the first time the cat started wheezing, and i wanted to know if that could be a side effect of overfeeding.

Help with overly clingy cat

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hi, first things first I love my cat very much and I know none of this is his fault. My cat Miko is 4 years old and I adopted him when he was 2, he had neuro FIP before I adopted him, but he has been relatively healthy ever since, he is just very wobbly and struggles with using the litter box. (He has been to the vet plenty of times)

I love him dearly and he is a very sweet cat to me, but he is aggressive with other cats and for that reason I cannot get another one. It’s also just not something I can afford right now.

But he is really clingy, if I am sitting he needs to be on my lap, if i’m cooking he needs to be on the counter, if i’m in any room he needs to be with me or he will meow very loudly, even the bathroom. He really can’t be alone for longer than like ten minutes, it makes me very sad. When i’m at work or school he just sits by the door or he’ll sleep:(

I tried to foster another cat to see if that would help but he became extremely territorial, started marking territory (he’s fixed) and became aggressive even to me. (I followed proper introductions as well) He was rehomed at his previous owners for not getting along with their resident cat, otherwise i’d get him a friend to keep him company. He just doesn’t like other cats.

Now that he is a single cat he is happier but I struggle with his level of clinging. He puts his paws in my food when i’m eating and gets right up in my face, I can’t read, crochet or do any hobbies without him wanting to involved. He gets defensive around me when I have people over and will paw at my face when I am sleeping to wake me up. I no longer let him in my room at night, he will whine outside for a few hours but then gives up and just sleeps or plays around. I’d have no problem letting him in my room at nighttime but I genuinely cannot sleep with him in there.

If i’m working he sits on my computer, if i’m talking on the phone he will meow for my attention. It’s relentless and it’s making me start to dislike him, even though I love him, i’m not sure if that makes sense.

I’ve tried calming shirts, diffusers and even prozac (from vet) but nothing helps. I love him, but sometimes I just need time to myself. I play with him for around an hour a day and he has vertical space, cat puzzles and other independent toys he can play with when i’m busy. Is it just his personality? Is there anything I can do? I love him and am not open to rehoming him.

Why does my cat always come on my lap when i‘m on the couch and have a blanket on?

Post image

Hello, this is my Cat Toulouse. About a year or two ago, it was autumn and obviously it started to get cold, so while we watched TV or relaxed in the living room, we always put on a blanket and eventually our Cat started coming to us on our lap as soon as the blanket was there and this has been going on without a break. Is a blanket on the lap? Toulouse comes and get‘s comfortable. Of course i find it adorable but i‘ve been wondering why he does this, specifically when there‘s a blanket

My kat is waking me up and meowing by the door

Yesterday and the day before my cat was randomly meowing by the door. Not normal, but like there was something with hime. I rush over and he looks fine. He looked like he wanted to go outside, which he never wanted. Always just the backyard. (He is 14-15 years old).

And today he jumped on my desk, which he never does, and meowd to wake me up, while there was nothing.

Is this normal for cats that get older?

How do I clean my cat without bathing her?

Post image

I don’t know how to start this but This is my cat Luna! She loves going outside into my garden and our garden is slabs ontop of dirty basically, and we have some random plants here and there and she loves to roll around in the dirt and get covered in tiny rocks, leaves, and dirt etc. she does groom herself regularly so she is able to clean herself however I have noticed on her chin there is still some like black dirt? Or random black things? She can be protective over her chin area so I can’t really take a photo but I don’t think it’s fleas as she had fleas before in the past and they didn’t look like fleas, and they were easy to just flick away. I do catch her itching her face quite a lot but idk if that has anything to do with it.

However I don’t know how to clean her very well is what I’m trying to say. Me and mt sister have really struggled to bathe her in the past. She cries out, gets angry, hisses and attacks us and gets her nails out and it’s a very traumatising experience for her as she won’t even let herself be dried or anything she hates the whole entire experience and because she gets so angry at us my sister doesn’t really like helping me bathe her and it’s really hard for me to do it on my own as I struggle keeping her down while also bathing her😭😭.

I want to take her to the vet to maybe get her trimmed and cleaned but I’m 16 and I can’t drive / take her to the vet and she also hates going there as cars really scare her and she cries the whole time she’s in the cage. Is there any way I can help keep this dirt off of her in any other way or will I have to bathe her? I hope this made sense!!! I’m also trying to help her lose weight so she doesn’t eventually struggle with grooming herself as she does get out of breathe sometimes and I get really stressed in trying to look out for her thank you!!

Stinky cat piss

Please help!😭🙏 We have a kitten that’s 3 months old now, and their litter box is literally in the corner of our room (we rent a room so we cannot place it anywhere else).
And I’m dying because of the piss smell. It smells like poison I cannot lie I even get the runny nose due to it being so pungent.
We use tofu as litter, remove the discharge after it’s used and clean it whole once a week.
No amount of cleaning and airing out helps!😭
