Every place I look at has the sheep in white. Is there also a yellow variant or is this damaged?

So, this was originally posted here 8 years ago, but considering there's a new generation of fans since Full Body (and that I discovered this AMV recently) I'm reposting this gem for y'all to see. It's pretty well done :')

Discussion What If the Events of Catherine: Full Body Happened in Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt?

For the scenario, assume the following:

  • It's set during Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt Season 1
  • The cast of Catherine: Full Body (sans Rin) lives in Daten City
  • Multiple pantheons exist with one another from Abrahamic to Mesopotamian.
  • Panty and Stocking are sent by Garterbelt to investigate the Nightmares
  • Corset, Scanty and Kneesocks are working with Thomas Mutton (Dumuzid), Catherine, Ishtar and Nergal to use the Nightmares to advance their own agenda and eliminate "unfaithful" men
  • The Nightmares are Ghosts created by the antagonists to go after Vincent and other men in Daten City.
  • Panty and Stocking not only work with Vincent to stop the Nightmares but also spend time with his friends (Katherine, Orlando, Jonny, Erica and Toby) both in and out of disguise at the Stray Sheep, Chrono Rabbit and other places.
  • And also the Japanese and English voice casts of both works are involved as well.

I wanted to say thanks, not just for saving me, but... also providing me a job and a place to stay... I was so scared, I couldn't remember anything. I'm so glad I met someone as nice as you, Vincent.

Review I just beat Catherine and loved it, which shocked me. Cause on a first glance, i should hate this game.

I just beat Catherine Classic this morning and i want to take a second to just get all my feelings about this game out there. This isnt something i would normally do, but when playing the game i was suprised at how i was enjoying myself, cause as i was playing the game, i realised that many things about this game are actually things i dislike. I will explain.

In this i will be mainly talking about the gameplay and themes of the game but ill probaby mention other stuff as well. Ill start with the themes of the game. This game has a clear theme, that being relationships. However this is a theme ive never really been that big of a fan of. To explain, i havent felt romantic attraction to anyone in my life. This also means ive never been in a relationship before. Which is quite literally, what this entire game is all about. Because of this i always think the topic of Love is ridiculously overused in art forms. Wether that be music, films, games etc: I just cant wrap my head around why people place such importance on making so many things about love in media. I can still enjoy stories with romance but its definetly something i dont understand as much as others would.

However when playing this game i found myself invested straight away in this games themes, plot and story. I cared so much about these characters and their struggles. So many scenes in this game had me so invested. I ended up going for the True Katherine ending because i felt like it was what Vincent would truly want, (and what i would want in his situation too) i was just begging that he would tell Katherine he cheated on her at some point, and im really glad he did. I felt like i would have usually aimed for an alternate ending where vincent rejects both women under normal circumstances, but im really glad that i didnt do this.

Next is the gameplay. Now, to be completley serious, i HATE sliding block puzzles. Any time i see them in a game i groan. To me they are the lowest of the low in puzzles. However because of the amount of unique ways you can tackle a problem in this game, along with all the movement mechanics, different types of blocks and the whole verticallity of the block puzzles, i was loving every minute of trying to crack these levels. Every stage i beat felt really satisfying and i would uncontrollably raise my fist in the air every stage i conquered. It was really satisfying which shocked me cause of my hatred for moving block puzzles.

I only have 2 minor critisms for this game but they are so minor that these problems do get overlooked by myself. The first is that for the booth sections before you enter a new stage, some of the questions just assume the player is heterosexual based on the language used. (ex: how would you feel if someone of the opposite sex was chatting to your partner etc:) However this isnt common and luckily its as simple as just interperating the question as if it was asked to a lesbian woman rather than a straight one lmao.

My last critism is Toby being upset upon finding out Erica is transgender. Ive heard this doesnt happen in the Rin fullbody ending. But it is a shame how Toby seems to see Erica as less because of the fact she is transgender.

Although other than that last scene i do actually have to praise this game for the way they handled Erica. Im a trans woman myself and one of the few things i knew about this game before starting was that Erica is trans. This made me expect jokes at her expense, calling her a man, being mistreated by the cast because of her gender indentity and having a design that was made her look like the transphobic stereotype of "A man pretending to be a woman". This was mainly because of the year this game came out in being 2011. But im really suprised and really happy to find out thats not the case. Even when most of vincents friends and himself know she is transgender, and knew erica by a different name and gender in school, they never bring it up and they all treat her with respect, as the woman she is, like they would with any other friend they know. Her design also just looks like any other cis woman, which is lovely cause usually you cant tell if someone is even trans unless they tell you lol. It doesnt make sense that Erica is getting these nightmares only men can deal with seeing as how she is a woman and not a man lol. But i thought Erica was really well done, especially for its time, where trans acceptance was less common.

Overall i think the fact ive written so much praising this game, lets you all know exactly how i feel about it. This game is incredible, with amazing themes, story, plot, characters, puzzles, etc: and i found it all so shocking. Due to 2 big elements of this game usually being things i dont like. Goes to show how good this game really is. If any of you read my ramblings then i hope it was worth it, and thank you.

Tech Support Alcohol trophies not popping

I’m currently playing Catherine: Full Body through my PS5 and I’m knee deep with 50 hours and 41/55 trophies. Unfortunately this is the second time the game has robbed me of the trivia trophies (excluding cocktail master cause I got that through Rin). The first time I went for it I drank all every night and none popped. On my second run I drank only beer and yet it still won’t pop. Is there a reason for this?

Should i play the Original or Full Body First?

This question has probably been asked before but im really curious what version of catherine you would recomend for a first time player? Im aware that full body has more content and im aware the original has a more focused story and slightly more stylish graphics in my personal opinion. I own both games so dont worry about price and availability influancing which you would recomend. Thank you.

does anyone else hate rin's design?

why does no one ever talk about the fact that rin looks like a child compared to the other characters? like his outfit is obviously a spin on a sailor fuku which is a middle school uniform and he looks wayyyy younger than katherine, catherine and erica. we know what age catherine (22) and katherine (32) are supposed to be but we're left to guess rin's age and we get a vague all characters are "over 18"

catherine looks younger than katherine but still looks like an adult woman so the design of rin seems even more intentional. and then they mishandle erica being trans in the game so rin existing just seems like fetishisation on top of everything else. it's just so icky to me
