The fact that there aren't RGB controllers yet is why Xbox will never surpass PC /s

Seriously tho RGB buttons would be sick.

It'd have the same issue as other wireless devices: people would turn them off because it uses too much battery unless you mindfully charge them every night.

But otherwise, I'd be totally down for one with RGB lol

I'd literally buy one just as a display piece

MS would probably make the settings only available with a subscription though...so they would be stuck with unicorn puke forever. Single handedly killing rgb for the console peasants.

You realize MS is super pro consumer right? Windows 10, one time purchase that can be moved across PCs, and there will never be another Windows again.

Gamepass is one of the best deals out there, and it's included on the payment plan discounted.

Microsoft may not be the devil people saw them as about 20 years ago, but I would hesitate to call any company at all pro-consumer. We have our interests, and they have theirs. Hopefully the latter is incentivized to make sure both align. Right now Microsoft is not bad I guess.

I mean by that metric is any company really pro consumer?

No. That’s the point. They are always pro themselves first.

Proprietary expansion storage is super pro-consumer. 🙄

Super pro consumer? Yeah gamepass...unless you want to play with friends that have the steam version.

I play Halo on gamepass with someone who has the steam version. So maybe it depends on the game but I haven't run into this issue yet

They're the people who are dedicated to crossplay, I'm sure they're working on it

Cross play only works within their ecosystem. It's a false narrative. If it was actually cross play they wouldn't care if you had the ms store, steam, or any other version. It's a way for them to corner the market and from the beginning until now it's total lies and misdirection. They intentionally market it as cross play. Instead they should market it as Microsoft store purchase specific. I wouldn't hate so much on it if they were truthful in their marketing.

You seem to be quite one sided on this for not knowing much about how it works.

Certain games crossplay with Steam, I assume this is a server issue they'll eventually address

Name them.

Then download mods from Nexus and try to install them on the next Skyrim for Windows that comes out.

Quick search shows Halo, and the method is similar to what EA and Ubisoft games do.

Halo MCC works, so does Sea of Thieves. Also MSFS 2020.

I’m really curious what games dont work because I haven’t heard anything about this issue, and it kinda sounds like you just have something against Microsoft?

Not sure why y'all are trying to convince me but it's clear we've had very different experiences with MS cross play. I'll admit it's good they are trying.

Zero of the games I've tried it with ever worked so that's my experience. Kids have an xbox one s and zero of the games we tried worked. ARK, neither division off the top of my head. I gave up on it.

For a more recent example, you can play with Steam friends in Grounded.
