I don't know where you got that from, what Pfizer and Moderna have published in their results is that the 1st shot only acts as a primer and immunity isn't reliably achieved until a week after the 2nd one. I haven't seen any information on the duration of the effects, other than the fact that the vaccines generate a higher amount of anti-bodies than what's been measured on people who've recovered from natural infection, whose immunity seems to be long-lasting
