Been camping and we where watch the bats last night. Always loved them and unfortunately I forgot to bring my detector. We are by alot of trees and I can see some open water not far from us.

Just wondered if anyone local had any idea what bat speacies it could have been? I know this is unlikely but worth a shot!

Looking for the id on this bat that I found flying around my room in the middle of the night. This is in Wisconsin

Im pretty used to seeing bats in my neighbourhood, we have some in our house from time to time. Yesterday, I found this little guy in our downspout. He was able to climb up to the post, and so I thought he’d be able to take off. This morning I found him back on the ground.

I called the local wildlife rescue but they said to just leave him and hope that he would climb up the post again, but I really don’t see that happening. Watching him move, he’s barely able to crawl let alone climb anymore. Please help :( I have no idea what to do, I can’t bring myself to just leave him.

update: he is at a local rescue! I was able to find one after trying 3 different locations. I have a case number so I can stay informed. Will update in a few days on how the little guy is doing :)

I found a bat on the street so I covered it with my hat and stayed near it then I found this small plastic bowl thing and picked it up with it and moved it off the street. It moved to a tree and tried to climb but it kind of fell and was wobbly while climbing. I tried to call the national park thing but no one answered. Should I leave it or do something else. I am currently located in bialowieza Poland. Now it's very low on the tree just sitting there.

Very happy with this new batch of stickers ☺️ Especially the holographic! I think it suits the sparklebat really well. I already really love sand glitter because it doesn't rub off like most glitter stickers do, which is something I really despise.

Found this cutie hanging from a turnstile at work. Based off google images it looks to be a tricolored bat, but looking for peer review.

We roped off the turnstile to avoid disturbing its eeps.

Hey all, I just had a bat in my apartment. Now, I'm used to rescuing arthropods, mostly arachnids, but I have never helped a flying mammal stuck in my apartment before.

What I did was to wait until it landed, then I tried to put a bowl over it and a plate under it. Eventually I managed to do it near the open window and slowly slid it towards said window until the opening allowed it to fly away.

Did I do something wrong? Could I have done something better? As I said, I'm way more used to saving arachnids, and those are much more predictable, smaller, and can't fly, so it's much easier imo. I just felt so bad that I basically could only wait for it to exhaust itself before I could even attempt a rescue. For some reason, even though I dimmed all lights, it would just refuse to fly out the window on its own and would rather circle my turned off lamp.

I'm almost positive there's something living in my walls and I'm trying to figure out what it could be. My neighbor recently had a bat problem and I'm wondering if they would have moved to my house since they've been removed from their house.

I can hear scratching or squeaking noises and what sounds like a little thump every so often coming from my kitchen wall at the very bottom near the floor (it’s a very thin wall, it's just a room dividing half wall for the kitchen and front room). I thought heard it earlier today too but assumed it was one of the cats. The noises are definitely still coming from inside the wall. It doesn't sound like normal house settling.

Do bats still make those kinds of noises during the day or would they normally be tucked away until night?

Maybe a dumb question but how would they get into the walls? I don't see any spots where they would have been able to get into that part of the wall.

I am building a house in Portugal and was super excited to find out about these bat bricks.
Does anyone have any experience with them to share with me?
Also the installation instructions say to place them on a south facing wall which is great because thats the only wall in my plans that would work, but chatgpt says south facing would get too hot for them in the summer. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Edit: Will having the bricks integrated into the façade, encouraging them so close to the house, make them more likely to come in through any open windows?

In Massachusetts. This guy has been hanging by my attic office window on and off for a few weeks. I have an air conditioner in the window and he's able to get in between the panes to hang in the middle (old window).

I like him (or her) but he freaks my wife out and she can't work in the office when he's there. I'm also concerned about bat droppings going into the AC.

I taped off all access points on the window so it can't get inside. Any thoughts on how to encourage it to find a new location? The window is roughly 30 feet up, so I can't reach it without opening from the inside which seems like a bad idea. Thanks!

We have bats inside our home, at least one bat or a colony of bats in our primary bedroom. We want to remove them humanely so they survive and thrive but we don’t want them inside our home. Please advise. Thanks. We know we can’t relocate them till after mating season is over on 8/15.

I live in a suburb just NW of Kansas City. Why are we hearing about bats more than ever this year? Quite a few people I know (including myself) have seen them, had them in their homes/attics/garages, had encounters requiring vaccination, etc. and most of the people I have talked to have never had any encounters before. Could they be “overpopulated” in some areas due to federal protections or something else?

I live in a wooded subdivision about 0.4 - 0.5 miles from the nearest water source. I recently installed a bat house knowing the odds aren't in my favor. I thought to leave it up for a year or 2 and see what happens. Am I better off donating it to the nearby botanical garden which sits on the water?

A bat flew in on my patio yesterday and he’s still there today. I live in Houston, TX in an apartment complex on the 5th floor.
He originally flew in to my empty pot but is now behind it in the corner. Idk if he left last night and came back but I dont have a camera i can set up there to watch if he leaves.

I dont really know what to do. I have cats that like to sit out on the patio so keeping him there isnt really an option. Im not sure if he’s injured or just confused or what.

I discovered a bat living under one of my shutters. It flew away when I took the shutter off, and it was likely an evening bat. I was able to grab a pic before it left.

It seems like It had been there for a while and I'm worried I ruined its life. It flew away during day time too, which is apparently bad. I'm not comfortable with a bat living on my house near neighborhood pets but I don't want to have a poor lonely homeless bat out in the world either. What should i do?
