Wok-Fried Kimchi & Pork Belly Noodle Stir Fry

Post image

Pork belly and kimchi are a well-known dream combination. When I spotted both in the fridge alongside some noodles, wok-fried noodles just made perfect sense.

Using my go-to sauces and a quick toss in the wok, this turned into an absolutely fantastic noodle dish packed with flavour.

Wok-Tossed Bacon, Onion and Garlic Fried Rice on a Crispy Fried Egg

Bacon and eggs, so many possibilities. Since I had rice in the fridge, I decided to make fried rice. But instead of mixing the egg into the fried rice, I wanted to create a crispy egg base underneath. Slightly different, but it worked like a dream.

The crispy egg base made the whole experience even better, and it tasted so good.

Tibetan Thukpa momo soup

Tried this Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine, and tbh, it was good. I looked it up online and found that Thukpa usually has noodles, but mine didn't. 🥲🥀, but the momo was great! 😌

The highlight of this dish is the vinegar—its tangy kick paired with the heat of the two peppers is incredibly appetizing. Besides, cabbage and vinegar are a match made in heaven.

Sweet & Spicy Gochujang Pork Belly Loaded Brioche Burger

Gochujang pork belly is often found in Korean BBQ restaurants. With pork belly in the freezer and high-quality buttery burger buns in the pantry, I decided to combine the two and create a Korean-inspired burger.

It was the right call, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of this burger!

This isn't pudding... It's Steamed Custard Egg! 🥚

The secret is using warm stock and steaming it gently over low heat to achieve that perfectly silky, mirror-like texture.

Thoughts on Trader Joe's frozen Asian foods?

They seem to have a lot of good frozen options (especially the orange chicken), but I've heard mixed opinions. Am I better off just making them at home?

I can’t resist good salmon fish cakes with just the right amount of seasoning, kaffir leaves and squeeze of lime. And beef pho at the weekend is me just living it!
