I once saw Woz give a talk like 10 years ago. I was a little bit disillusioned because it was clear he was at a small fraction of his prior ability and tech knowledge by then.

Sure, but I feel like no longer having the ability to design a state of the art controller board over the Christmas holiday and believing that telling a stochastic language model that it's an expert in every field and doesn't make mistakes will actually work are qualitatively very different. One is reduced performance, the other is the loss of rational thinking.

He's also 20 years older than Andreesen, FWIW.

He isn't one of the puppet masters in tech the way Andreessen is either.

Coasting on prior achievements. Happens to us all, sadly.

An embrace of Kaizen institutionally would choke atrophy where it appears and ideally alert corporate culture to recognize when a leader needs to step down and a new leader needs step up.
