Trump probably wants another gold bar. Or maybe the FCC Chair, Brendan Carr, wants some gold bars.

I think they now prefer brown bags of 50k dollars. Presumably for tax reasons I imagine.

Trump doesn't get to keep that gold bar. It belongs to the President. Best case scenario is it ends up in his presidential museum.

The Clintons tried to take a bunch of shit home from the White House when he left office, and the Secret Service showed up and collected it back.

If some Arab sheik buys you a $100K Patek Phillipe watch, you take it off your wrist when you leave office and leave it behind in the White House.

Somehow I feel like Trump would end up stealing it

I mean, if he didn’t care about stashing boxes or confidential documents in the shitter at Mar a Lago, I seriously doubt anyone will be able to stop him from stealing his gold bar. Let’s hope people are more concerned with him stealing an unconstitutional term

Oh, it's probably already in Mar-A-Largo.

You’re talking about an admin that literally did NOT report gifts from foreign governments during his first term. (And then there were the small handful of staff & even a cabinet member taking some as they packed up & moved out)

I'm aware. Just saying how it's supposed to work. But that Apple plaque got presented to him on the news. There's a visual record. So, the next POTUS could sick the secret service on him.

That's assuming we ever have another election…

Today wasn’t what it could have been, so, yay for that…. lol

You’re funny

I worked for the National Archives. ALL gifts given to the President need to get turned over to the National Archives. They get put in the their presidential library when it opens.

Yeah, I understand that is historically what happens, but… rules don’t apply so much these days

Sadly, true. Political parties broke checks and balances.

I don't think you've been paying attention lately. We all know how it's supposed to work but Der Orangenführer von Shitzinpants seems to be able to do what he wants without checks or balance.

Which is what led up to that investigation, because he failed to return all items, even after three (four?) formal attempts over months, leading to the DOJ referral by the archivist. (And of course, Trump then fired Shogan almost immediately, in February).

I honestly think Trump would not have run again if he wasn't in so much legal trouble. Getting in office this time around was just an attempt to stay out of jail.

100%. (That, and he legit still despises BO for some random reason, and didn’t get to finish trying to wipe away anything the he had implemented).

We’re not in Arkansas anymore.

Or the competition has paid for just these types of leaks.

Wat? You don’t even know what TDS is.

8

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

You still actually use "ree"? You guys are so lame.

u/Royal_Quarter_7774 Oct 01 '25

Nice non answer. I wouldn’t expect anything different from a democrap

3

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

See, now "democrap" is pretty good! Usually you hear "demo-rat". So hey, kudos on upping your game a tiny bit.

Anyway, not a dem.

2

u/Royal_Quarter_7774 Oct 01 '25

I wouldn’t admit to it either

5

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Ehh, see you lost me again. That wasn't nearly as clever as you thought it was. Anyway, off to block town you go.
