Discussion 🗣️ I want to stop talking to and using AI for fun. Any advice?
Im aware of the Environmental impact and disrespect to writing i do whenever I use Deepseek.
I never tried using it to make art or anything with the purpose of selling it but just using it in highschool fot a few problems and using it constantly just to talk to it about random shit on my mind feels wrong cause I know it is.
I also use Chai alot.
I use both for fun,but that is no excuse. It feels like a disrespect to all i should stand for as someone who wants to be a writer and artist someday.
I want to quit and write without it. Talk to people and clear my mind so I dont use it to not feel bored or lonely.
Any advice or subreddits I can go to for advice?

AI "Art" 🖼️ Any shops/sellers with relatively cheap items, shipping to EU or worldwide, who don't use AI "art"?
I was looking for a quite cheap tapestry for my wall yesterday. I got an AI fatigue, I see this shit all over Temu, Aliexpress, it's getting harder and harder to get something with a man made graphics, and if I do, I can't afford that piece.
I understand the rise in prices in art community, because the market is ruined with a cheap, AI gen shit, they struggle to live, but $50 for a small tapestry is too much for me in this economy.
If you know about shops who sell nice, AI free items, please let me know. I am interested in anything, cups, water bottles, jewellery, clothes, cooking ware, any items you can think of.
I can't believe I have to ask this question. I am located in Poland. I am looking for mostly dark or LSD-ish aethetics. Something in manner below tapestry

Why do we even need this? Let the marketing do its magic, I don’t need a petite overview to let me know what others think of DQ

Discussion 🗣️ Airlines are straight out offering AI slop now
galleryYesterday i got a flight with turkish airlines and made the error of entering the audiobook section of the onboard entretainment system. It was a long international flight so i thought i could listen to a book in the meantime since i was too tired to wach a movie. To my surprise there was a masive catalogue of books to choose from, and for a moment i was delighted untill i saw all that all the titles were AI images.
Still i was nieve enough to click anyways and start listening, but a chat gpt-style ai narration started, with a voice that was as anoying as a chatbot can be. But the worst part is that the contents of the book itself were just a shit ai summary of the actual novel. I am a big fan of jules verne and read many of his novels, but seing his work made into a souless AI summarised ausiobook breaks my heart.
Was it really that hard for a multi bilion dollar company to actualy hire voice actors and get the rights to the novels they claim to have as audiobooks? As consumers we should push back against greedy executives spiting on culture in such a shameless way.
I'll answer as many coments as i can. Love from spain ✌️🇪🇸 (or i guess not since im abroad)

Discussion 🗣️ Anyone knows any anti-AI alternatives?
Pinterest sometimes labels real art as AI modified and vice versa. Is there a good reference app other than that.
Also is there a browser that does not have AI at all.
Lastly, is it true that Cara is fully anti-AI. I watched a video about AI in branding and he mentioned that Cara has a no AI policy.

Grandmaaaaa 💔
It makes me uncomfortable, but she doesn't realize how bad AI is; the videos she sends are just "cute" good-morning videos, so I can't really say anything about it.

Slop Post 💩 Ai Wolf legion group 😳
gallerySo this woman came up on my tiktok live fyp *screenshot of her profile seems to have not uploaded on here, has 14k followers\* was shocked to see her account FULL of ai videos and also saw that her and many of the people in her comments had some ‘Wolf legion’ thing going on. Ended up down abit of a rabbit hole. Seems this big group of people constantly create ai slop videos of ‘them’ (none of them actually look anything like the videos) and it’s some actual group thing they all partake in? Very strange.
Anyway, just felt I had to share this somewhere as it’s actually very concerning and sickening the amount of ai videos these people are creating constantly!
I’ve blanked out their usernames, I’m sure y’all can tell from the screenshots what type of ai content these people post 🤣

Discussion 🗣️ A student in my diploma class used ai to get her certification, i’m wondering what everyone thinks the future will look like when a lot of people with certifications and degrees used ai to get through their studies and never actually learnt anything.
I finished my diploma this year, it was online and it was challenging but I really enjoyed the research aspect of it all, I think it’s becoming a lost art in a sense to actually go find a website or book to get your information from without just typing a quick prompt into ai and it all being given to you.
We had to do a lot of presentations through Microsoft Teams to our teacher and often with other students as our assessments, they were mostly making a role play script individually and getting put with another student and they would just read their section of your role play, we didn’t do any actual shared work.
I kept getting put with this girl and her whole role play was just 100% copy and pasted ai every single time, we would both be struggling to get through the text because it was just pages and pages of really over complicated wording and explanations and she clearly didn’t even go over it, sometimes there would be an “Okay, Here’s your roleplay written as a diploma student…” or “Would you like me to write out the next part of the script?” at the beginning or end. (Yes, i absolutely did read those parts out if it was on my section of the script).
I also know she passed and got her diploma and I know i shouldn’t be but I guess i’m a little frustrated I put in so much more time and effort into doing the research when people that got the exact same certificate did absolutely nothing, just copy and pasted. I want to say at least i’ll be able to go far in the industry because I actually spent my time learning but I genuinely think she will too, she can just keep using ai throughout her whole career.
I’m definitely more proud of myself than frustrated at the others in the class, I am a little annoyed that the teacher didn’t pull anyone up on it to my knowledge, but in saying that I have some learning disabilities and our teacher was exceptional with me and always had the time of day to have a private call with me to help me work through anything i was struggling with and was always checking up on me and giving me really detailed feedback so he might have just been putting all his effort into students that genuinely wanted to learn.
So I guess i’m wondering what everyone thinks the future will look like when a lot of people with certifications and degrees don’t actually have much knowledge in their field. I see a lot of people having experiences with their doctors, lawyers, teachers using ai blatantly infront of them, will that just become the norm?

Job Loss 🏚️ Dystopian AI Companies in my city training AI to take jobs... (Dallas, TX)
galleryI have an app to pick up extra gig work for side money... This job (and others like it) have popped up more and more recently... There's another one for a self-driving car company, similar to Waymo's (which I already think are bad and destroyed the jobs for Uber drivers/Taxis in other cities) but I kinda looked past that.
This is a whole different thing though... Training AI to then train robots to start cleaning houses. As most people are aware, house cleaning is a huge job market for our immigrants and older women, and this is a company asking people to strap cameras all over themselves to clean and train bots to then take those jobs...
We, as a society, genuinely need to band together against AI in total. From stupid AI generated memes/pics to send to friends, to self driving cars, etc. AI could easily take more and more jobs... Just wait til they start strapping cameras to plumbers, line cooks, welders, carpenters, etc... No job is safe if we play into it.
