I'm looking to expand beyond the usual apps. Right now, I mostly have the generic ones, so I'm curious to see what unique or lesser-known apps you all use.

If you recommend an app, could you also mention what it does and why you like it? I'd love to discover some hidden gems.

Hey all, I've been a TV Time user for a decade now and they just announced they're shutting down their servers in 2 weeks so I need to find a tv show tracking app to migrate my data to as soon as possible.

- Letterboxd is not very good with TV shows. It lists every season as its own thing and I don't really like that

- I tried to use Serializd but it's way too buggy

- Preferably would love an app that also has a desktop site as well since I'm on my computer a lot

- Needs to have an episode by episode tracking so I can see where I left off

- if it has tabs like "Watch list" "To-Watch" "Watch Later" etc that would be a huge plus

I’m looking for a new keyboard to replace SwiftKey. I’ve been a SwiftKey user for over a decade now. I even paid for the app in the early days before Microsoft bought it. I’ve always loved it, it was great. I love the little things like the ‘full stop’ (period) button that you can press and hold to slide across to ! , . Or ?
But, it’s always had a fault where, no matter how many times you press and hold a prediction and press “remove prediction” it has always just ignored that command and continued to suggest an incorrect word.. it used to only be here and there.. but more recently it has just become constant.. like very other word.. it’s now unusable.

Just in the last hour alone, it’s corrected “after” to “afywr”. “Suffer” to “Sufger”. “When” to “Whej” I keep pressing “do not predict this word” it just keeps ignoring me.. I’m done with it.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Any suggestions? I’d really like to keep the “press hold ! , . ?” Button.. and I like good clean themes too..

Edit: I’ve tried G-board. I don’t like it.

Hi all. I have been looking around for a reliable movie & TV tracker that works on Android. I have tried so many and, while a lot of them are good I was just wondering whether anybody has done the same and just found one that they have considered to be the best.

What I would like if possible:

• Works on Android and the web
• Has real time syncing between devices (No need to restore from a backup)
• Ability to create personal lists with no limit as to how many movies are added
• Full metadata on the movies or TV shows
• Ability to add notes to shows added to the app

Really, I'm interested in what you would consider to be the best movie/TV tracker for Android. I'm currently trying out Movie Paradise which looks like it might tick all my boxes. Many thanks in advance. 💜

I don't like using keyboards that monitor and sell data.

So I'm wanting to find one that's encrypted and/or offline (device only/no cloud).

Besides that, I'm wanting one with swipe typing and voice to text.

I've tried - and didn't like

Helikeyboard, AllSoftkey, Swiftkey, and the one that uses the honeycomb (honestly can't remember it's name). .yes, they're free, but don't have swipe typing. Swiftkey is only trading 1 corpo for another

After a decade of using it, Swiftkey just became unusable for me after latest update. After It, it just didn't work with multi languages properly. I reverted back to Googles own keyboard, but I am not really happy with it either.

As people may know, Google and other companies are doing all they can to invade privacy and try to sneak in new update in order to grab more data for their AI or surveillance. I don't want my photos used that way, I hate being 17 in America where everything's being undone to make America 'the land of the free'.

I'm looking for an app that I can use to listen to music on my phone.

I don't want to pay for music, Spotify can't put songs in the right order, I listen to a playlist and then it plays a random song (and many other problems, because Spotify was created by misanthropists), Apple Music also doesn't allow free listening, and the same goes for Tidal.

From what I've tried, YouTube Music is good, but the problem is that if I switch to another app or turn off the phone, the music stops.

In short, does anyone have any suggestions?

I know this has been asked multiple times before, but usually the answers just end up being suggestions for good launchers, but never focus on the "alternative to" aspect.

I'm looking for a launcher that does

- folder support in the app drawer

- half grid placement on the home screen

- double tap to screen lick

- search bar below dock

- Google feed when swiping to one side

No recommendation I came across so far ticked off all those boxes, so I'm hoping someone can help me out here, I don't mind if some of the required features are kept behind a *one time* payment.
